Daylite Plus

I just got a osprey daylite plus thinking that should suffice for day hikes. It feels fine with a lighter load but with the 3L water it feels like it’s around its limits. I’m thinking Rei trail 40 pack?

Probably not. I fly with an Osprey daylite plus that’s 20L. it’s full, it’s tight under there.

Check out the Osprey Daylite Plus or Patagonia Refugio if you can find one on sale. Both are comfortable for carrying a laptop and daily college stuff without being huge. Also worth checking thrift stores or Amazon Warehouse for backpacks since you can sometimes get nicer brands under $100.

Yes if you simply need more room to breathe…return the 11 and look for a sale on the Osprey Talon 22 or the Osprey Daylite Plus (20L)…they’re an all-around daypack size that you won’t outgrow and allow you to comfortably carry all your essentials And the Salomon Trailblazer 20 is an excellent budget
