OM-5 mki or OM-3 for a “Dad cam”?

Another Dad here with young kids: I have an OM5i and the Panasonic 12-35 2.8 is on the camera 80% of the time. I use the 25mm 1.7 for indoor birthdays etc but I’d much rather something wider and brighter like Panasonic 15mm 1.7 or Oly 20mm 1.4. I think a nice bright lens beats the autofocus improvem

M43 made me fall in love with photography again

I have had a similar kind of experience with M43. I have been shooting Fujifilm X mount since 2021 (using Nikon DSLRs before that) and I switched back to Nikon with a Z6 in 2023 (it was also my first full frame mirrorless after using a full frame D700 years ago). For example : True Pic VIII

Advice requested for Panama rainy season.

Your setup is weather sealed, you should be fine. Just keep the lens on at all times unless in a controlled environment or clear weather. Your oldest's lens is weather sealed, but their camera is not, so it won't matter that the lens is sealed. I don't know how rainy this rainy season is, but if it'

Jumped onto the M4/3 boat - OM5

Welcome to micro four thirds ! The OM-5 is a great camera, even if it has its weaknesses. It's interesting to see such old kit lenses used on this body ! I'm personally not a huge fan of the OM-5's plastic body (and most importantly is was too expensive for me) so I settled on an older Olympus E-M5
