First leaked image of the new OM-5II

I truly hope—pray, even—that OM System’s next release won’t just be another rehash like the OM-1 Mark II. That camera, while fine on paper, was essentially a software update sold at full price, and it left many of us deeply disillusioned. I’m starting to lose hope in the brand. I’ve been using the E

Will the EM10 ever get an OM replacement?

Honestly? I don't think so. OM SYstem is betting HEAVILY on the weather sealed / outdoor camera segment, and this so far has been pretty successful for them. But it means that every camera they release and every lens they release needs to be weather sealed (and it has so far been the case). The only

Just played a bit with the OM5 mk2

OM System, for VERY LITTLE MORE MONEY, could have given the OM5 mk2 a similar magnesium body as my old EM5 It's not a matter of money. It's a matter of weight. They've intentionally designed E-M5 mk3 / OM-5 to be as lightweight as possible. If you want a heavier camera, just buy the OM-1 or OM-3.

What is the difference between the om5 and om5.2?

They are very similar and the improvements are minor, but there are two big differences that affect the way you will use the camera every day. Menus - the 5.2 has the new OM System menus (similar to the OM-1) which are a huge improvement over the old old old Olympus menus in the 5.1. This is a big d

OM-3: One Year and 20,000 Shots Later…

What's your opinion on the ergonomics? I went to a convention yesterday and got to hold and try out the current om system cameras, I found the om- quite uncomfortable and hard to hold especially with the front dial exactly where my fingers would want to rest. I much preferred the ergo of the om-5 an

Beginner: How should I split my budget between camera body and lenses to be future-proof?

Okay, so first of all, it seems you are pretty set on M43 / Olympus / OM System cameras. The first thing that you need to understand is that those cameras work with processor generations, and that some generations are super close, while other provide a generational leap. For example : True Pic VIII

If you could choose one of these for your one and only lens on a safari in Africa which would you choose?

I’ve looked at Panasonic but I’ve read that the in camera stabilization the Panasonic lens have do not sync with an OM system camera where as a on system lens obviously would.

Help me move into the OM system (please)

But the OP's not serious about macro. They're looking to try it out. And in-camera stacking is the best way to do that. And when did the OM-5 get the same bracketing limit as the OM-1? Was there a firmware update? OM System's website still says it's limited to 8 frames in camera vs the OM-1's 15.

Olympus PEN E‑P1 vs E‑P2 – same “analogue look”?

Do you have another M43 camera? Have you tried slapping one of the older lenses in the system (contemporary to the E-P1 for instance) on them, and cranking down the exposure compensation? In something like the 14-42mm EZ getting soft images is sort of the default if you don't adjust it carefully, an
