My wife has the EPL-9. She found the screen unusable in bright sunlight. It was difficult to use for wildlife photography. I made the mistake of lending her my EM-5 Mark III. I never got it back. The Lumix GX85 is a nice rangefinder-style camera with EVF. I had one for a while. If you like rangefind

Apple should partner with Olympus for the next edition of its OM-5 Mark II, I'd like to see what Apple could do with focus stacking combined with other OM computational features, currently you can only use one computational feature at a time https://petapixel.com/2025/06/16/om-system-om-5-mark-ii-re

You'd like probably a mirrorless camera that's compact and a long lens to go with it. This here would be a good setup https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/om-system-om-5/sku-3585582 https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/panasonic-lumix-g-vario-12-60mm-f-3-5-5-6-asph-power-o-i-s/sku-3715786 https://www.mpb.

+1 for m4/3 cameras. The OM System OM-5 Mk I or II will be perfect. Light, excellent weather sealing, and will produce professional grade photos if you use it right. Don't let anyone tell you different. I print 30x40 landscape prints off the older 16MP EM-5 II, and the OM-5s have a newer 20MP sensor

think you'd want something weathersealed for those locations, Fuji doesn make tough cameras imo https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/om-system-om-5 https://www.mpb.com/en-us/search?q=Olympus%20M.Zuiko%2012-45mm%20f%2F4%20PRO https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/om-system-m-zuiko-digital-ed-40-150mm-f-4-pr

First check out Justin Mott on YouTube he is a pro with extensive time with Leicas but always uses Sony for client paid work. https://www.youtube.com/@AskMOTT/videos I’d recommend renting a Sony A1 with a 16-35mm GM and then maybe a 85mm for portraits. As a super light backup camera the Olympus OM5

I used my E-M5 with grip yesterday, I attached the Olympus f/2.8 12-40mm to it ;) It's an option, but with the grip the camera is basically the same size as my E-M1. And don't forget the additional cost as well. For that money you can just a "better" camera (the E-M1s or even the GH5 do have better
