OM-1 Mark II vs OM-3 for street/hiking (coming from E-M5 III + 12-100)
I have both and I'm about to offload the OM-3 as I just can't get a comfortable grip on it. I've tried the SmallRig grips and a half case and neither really work for me. The issue is the Colour Dial on the front. It just sits in the wrong place for my fingers. The grip is slightly smaller than the h

What's wrong with those "for m43 guys"?
I think there is a perception problem with m43 that is unfortunately fueled in part by the m43 maker marketing. I say this as a mft user for the past four years that is now looking for alternatives elsewhere. There are many reasons why users come to or look at m43. My reasons were size, affordabilit

Help me save money?
I would suggest the OM-5 mkII over the OM-3. On a technical level the OM-3 is effectively an OM-1 MkII, you are paying for that and it is also a sizeable camera. The OM-5ii on the other hand is for many purposes a re-housed OM-D E-M1 Mark III, with some added fancy features in the very compact body

Anyone switched from Sony FF? Thinking about the L10.
Personally, for your use-case, I suggest getting the Sony 40mm f2.5G or the Viltrox 35mm f1.8 EVO. I had preordered the L10 but ultimately canceled because I don't want a zoom lens that extends and retracts focal lengths with a motor. I have both FF and m43 gear and similarly shoot a toddler indoors

Unspoken benefit of the M43 sensor (Olympus)
The issue (if it's fair to call it that) for pro photographers is that OM doesn't offer much for them - OM offers great savings and lightweight, compact, gear - but those don't move pros the way they move hobbyists, because pros are open to compromising on exactly those aspects in exchange for thing

I'm starting to think it's impossible to make a small m43 body with current technology
"Stopped pushing limits of....small form factor". Which they did, panasonic has pretty much discontinued everything but their top flagship line, which has impressive specs but again "not small". Similar thing with OM system, the EP line hasn't seen an update for 5 years. And even then, these smaller

LUMIX S9 vs Sony A7C2 vs Fuji XT50
To be honest Fuji recipes are the same. They are not universal unless you use something like Reggie's Portra which basically looks like modified Provia which is standard color profile in Fujis world. I didn't like Panasonic LUTs at first but after some play with Magic Lut and adjusting it afterwards

Is "we have plans to launch a new PEN series under the OM System brand" genuine news, or not?
Unless this is a Google translation error, I really am scratching my head about the following statement. "The OM-1 series is geared more towards advanced users and demanding photography in nature. The OM-5 series is aimed at users who enjoy outdoor activities as a hobby. And the OM-3 is a camera tha

The GoPro Mission 1 ILS Might Disappoint You
Unless you're adapting an old manual lens from Nikon F, Canon FD, Olympus OM or Leica M, which would be pointless anyway, because the sensor will outresolve those vintage lenses, then I don't see many instances of there being longer lenses. It's been a while since I did look at the manual lens lineu

So, does this mean an MFT lens lineup revival?
m43 really needs a small camera with stacked/BSI sensor and better AF. I could do without the AF, but low ISO performance on my A6700 is a dream, worrying about motion blur or grain isn't even a thing anymore. m43 is the system that benefits the most from this tech to get better performance out of t
