Should I stick with Micro Four Thirds or switch systems? (Currently using Olympus OM-D E-M5)

Full frame is better for low light moving targets. That said, that is exactly what I shoot: indoor sports. I found the 40-150 f2.8 lens affordable and absolutely fantastic. In addition you need a phase-detect autofocus camera. The EM5.III and higher (OM5 is the next in line), or the M1.II and higher

Weather sealed alternative to my GX85?

E-M5 III, OM-5 on the olympus side for something similarly sized but pricier G85 on the Lumix/Panasonic side; similar price but bulkier. https://camerasize.com/compact/#673,835,689,ha,f

Price of used OM-1 MK I 's are absurdly low / great bargain. Theories?

OM systems did absolutely shoot themselves in the foot by re-using old camera names that are still traded frequently in used spaces. This creates a lot of pointless confusion. Keep in mind that the OM-1, being a full-grip pro-body that appeals to more serious photographers who are expected to use he

Canon M6 Mark II - worth it?

Yeah, don't buy this. This was an issue the E-M5 III from Olympus (and it's OM successors) were famous for. This looks like a particularly severe example, there are cracks going up both sides of the camera. Depending on the construction of the camera the effect of the damage could vary, but this loo

Just what were people expecting with the OM5?

I think it was just too close to the em5iii. It’s a really good camera. I’m looking forward to the om-5ii. I prefer that form factor, and I don’t need the latest sensor. I do hope they include animal detect and maybe the graduated ND filters.

Looking to upgrade: oM-5 Mark II or something else

I do not believe in "future proofing" tech purchases. That allows people to upsell you to something you don't actually need by triggering your fear of being left behind, or making a wrong decision. My motto is only buy what you need today. Because if you need more next year, you can sell what you ha

OM-5 mkii Rumored Specs

If these are legit then what are the actual differences? It really seems the management at OM System are just grabbing whatever market they can without any investment or innovation. OM-1 was designed by Olympus before the restructure/takeover. The mark ii was essentially a firmware update. OM-5 is l

Which m4/3 to start with?

$1000 isn't a lot but you could go with an Olympus E-M5 III and a Panasonic 14-140mm f3.5-5.6 which would be cutting it close but cover all your use cases. https://camerasize.com/compact/#835.931,ha,t you'd eventually want to get primes for low light scenarios as well.

please help me decide which camera to keep em10 mk2, ep5 or g100

I would sell all 3, and replace with something like an E-M5 III (used) or possibly OM-5 (refurb or new-on-sale if price is right) for PDAF.

Beginner: How should I split my budget between camera body and lenses to be future-proof?

Okay, so first of all, it seems you are pretty set on M43 / Olympus / OM System cameras. The first thing that you need to understand is that those cameras work with processor generations, and that some generations are super close, while other provide a generational leap. For example : True Pic VIII
