Time to Upgrade from Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV?
Hello!
I recenty purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV in March to dip my toes back into photography (The Wirecutter suggested this model) and am already feeling a little constrained by the camera. The main issue is the contrast autofocus, especailly while doing macro work with the [OM SYSTEM OLY

Advice requested for Panama rainy season.
Your setup is weather sealed, you should be fine. Just keep the lens on at all times unless in a controlled environment or clear weather. Your oldest's lens is weather sealed, but their camera is not, so it won't matter that the lens is sealed. I don't know how rainy this rainy season is, but if it'

Is this the right time to buy a m43 system?
I love m43 system, but no, it would be foolish to do so these days (with a few exceptions) You can find cheaper and better camera and lenses, new or used. Take a Sony A6100, it smokes everything m43 by a mile except the OM-1 and G9 II in some areas and it's dirt cheap. Autofocus, video, fps, senzor,

First camera recommendation, is Olympus OM-D E-M10 mark IV good to get?
I don't consider it a good buy at all. It is what is called an "enthusiast" camera, so basically entry-level, and is lacking a lot of features you really want in a camera. As some basic FYI, it was released in August of 2020 and costs $700 new. So it is currently 5 years old. You can purchase a used

Theories about (E/O)M10
All I know about the E-M10 mark IV is that it is a pointless camera. It's not like its small enough to move the needle on portability, and it's a rip-off for the price given the current used market. So I think you are right, though what I would like to see is an updated Pen-F, smaller and lighter th

Who is OM System Olympus trying to sell to? As someone still shopping for their first real camera, I’m struggling to see who their cameras would appeal to; there isn’t a value proposition as the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV isn’t any less expensive with its smaller m4/3 sensor than a Canon R100 with an APS-C

OM System 2025 Focus
Any such camera cost several millions of dollars equivallent to develop and put into production. It is only worth if you sell them in 40-50k units/year. Even original PEN-F was rather problematic and that was era when Olympus was selling tons of cameras. It overlaps too much with OM5 now to happen.
