Apple Smells Blood in the Water

The color management is pretty much non-existence compared to Lightroom/Capture One when processing raws. The sliders pretty much have nearly zero effect on Canon 7Dmii and Olympus E-M10iv raws. All the real color processing work has to be done post-raw phase where they already baked the colors down

Time to Upgrade from Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV?

Hello!

I recenty purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV in March to dip my toes back into photography (The Wirecutter suggested this model) and am already feeling a little constrained by the camera. The main issue is the contrast autofocus, especailly while doing macro work with the [OM SYSTEM OLY

Advice requested for Panama rainy season.

Your setup is weather sealed, you should be fine. Just keep the lens on at all times unless in a controlled environment or clear weather. Your oldest's lens is weather sealed, but their camera is not, so it won't matter that the lens is sealed. I don't know how rainy this rainy season is, but if it'

Just got this E-M10 Mark IV! Super beginner here, any tips??

Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm f5.0-6.3 IS Lens This lens was just to pricey for me and why i bought the 100-300ii. It was only $325. The 100-400 would have been twice that if not more. With that said I don't think it's too much lens, but it really depends on what you're trying to do. Most of

Why isn't this in every OM/Olympus camera? You don't need a physical dial for it.

My more advanced E-M1ii back then didn’t have it when the older PEN-F did. Here I am with the OM-1 and same problem. The OM-3 is a repackaged OM-1ii…. And as usual removed. The E-P7 is based on the E-M10IV. Olympus and OM Systems hates its users lol.

Is this the right time to buy a m43 system?

I love m43 system, but no, it would be foolish to do so these days (with a few exceptions) You can find cheaper and better camera and lenses, new or used. Take a Sony A6100, it smokes everything m43 by a mile except the OM-1 and G9 II in some areas and it's dirt cheap. Autofocus, video, fps, senzor,

Panasonic lenses for OM-D E-M10 Mark IV

Hello, the lens of my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV broke for the second time. My lens was the Pancake 14-42mm. I heard that Panasonic lenses are compatible with Olympus. Which equivalent model of lenses would be compatible with my camera? Are they more reliable than the Olympus lenses?

Cheaper option to omd em10iv for street photography

Also, with the Mark III and IV Olympus took away the ability to edit Raw images (convert them to JPEG in-camera), which is a big problem. The Mark II is excellent (and was my first Olympus camera) but something like 50% of bodies end up a dead LCD screen due to the ribbon issue. IMO second hand OM-5

It's M43 Monday! Ask Us Anything about Micro Four-Thirds Photography - all questions welcome!

I've just jumped into M43 to have the DSLR options I'm used to (with an APS-C DSLR) but in a more convenient size and weight. I initially ordered an E-M10 Mark IV but found it tiny and felt the construction was flimsy, particularly the port cover for the USB port and the door for the SD card and bat
