Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV lens recommendations for concerts?

Unfortunately you're trying to use the most basic of Olympus's cameras to tackle one of the most challenging scenarios for any camera. The biggest weakness of any MFT camera is low light performance. That's not to say they're BAD at it, they're just weaker at it than cameras with larger sensors like

My first M43, pls help.

That of course will be a matter of opinion. But the general trend in the last 5 years has been away from the classic M43 compact style and toward bigger bodies with more capable sensors, cpus, and batteries. There are two that I can think of currently in production, and then I can think of two more

Beginner friendly camera

why do you want a 'beginner friendly' camera? In my opinion , that's just vendor-speak for 'cheap' because they're lacking in features/capability. If you're really interested in photography its better to go for a used/older but more feature rich mid-range or "prosumer" camera than a brand new but ex

Time to Upgrade from Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV?

Hello!

I recenty purchased an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV in March to dip my toes back into photography (The Wirecutter suggested this model) and am already feeling a little constrained by the camera. The main issue is the contrast autofocus, especailly while doing macro work with the [OM SYSTEM OLY

Help me decide pls. EM10 Mark IV or save up for OM-5?

In the USA right now, the Lumix G97 kit with 12-60 kit lens costs less than the EM10-IV kit with its pancake lens. This may vary by country, of course. The G97 is, I think, a far better camera than the EM10, although it is also larger and heavier. I had an EM10-IV briefly and returned it. Tiny, flim

Why isn't this in every OM/Olympus camera? You don't need a physical dial for it.

My more advanced E-M1ii back then didn’t have it when the older PEN-F did. Here I am with the OM-1 and same problem. The OM-3 is a repackaged OM-1ii…. And as usual removed. The E-P7 is based on the E-M10IV. Olympus and OM Systems hates its users lol.

Is this the right time to buy a m43 system?

I love m43 system, but no, it would be foolish to do so these days (with a few exceptions) You can find cheaper and better camera and lenses, new or used. Take a Sony A6100, it smokes everything m43 by a mile except the OM-1 and G9 II in some areas and it's dirt cheap. Autofocus, video, fps, senzor,

Advice requested for Panama rainy season.

Your setup is weather sealed, you should be fine. Just keep the lens on at all times unless in a controlled environment or clear weather. Your oldest's lens is weather sealed, but their camera is not, so it won't matter that the lens is sealed. I don't know how rainy this rainy season is, but if it'

Abandoned Sony Full Frame - Returning to M43

the build quality shouldn’t go down if the price goes up. Agreed. That said, the E-M5 III and OM-5 has had a drop is quality as well. The body was changed to reinforced plastic and the results have not been pleasant. For a camera powerful and lightweight, the popular peak design clip or just using t
