Electrolyte Imbalance
As a decidedly amateur runner myself, I've learned not to concern myself with what the elites are doing. Trail running is a unique sport in that often times an overworked father of three with bad knees will toe the line with an ex-Div 1 Olympic hopeful, but we are not all running the same race. We a

I am not recovering well from bike rides and it should't be this hard
First, make sure it’s not an issue with your bike that’s causing you to work harder than you have to. Low tire pressure and a dirty chain can slow you down a lot. If it’s not your bike then you want to make sure you’re taking care of your body. Make sure you’re eating enough, sleeping enough, and dr

Feeling better after taking electrolytes!!!
I take a Nuun Sport Hydration tablet everyday, I find it a bit more potent and can tolerate the lemon/lime flavour for some reason (since I can’t go near an actual lemon or actual lime). Also Evian water makes me feel great and alert like I feel after an electrolyte tablet. I think it must be the sp

20 Mile Run - Fuel/ Gear
For stuff over 2-3 hrs I usually think about it for time. I like to eat/drink 1 gel or snack and 1 bottle of water with sports drink in it per hour. One thing no one else has mentioned is salt. You'll want to bring some electrolytes out there, nuun and scratch are my favorite, but anything with elec

Chewable electrolytes - Recommendations?
Quick and easy to get electrolytes without mixing in water, like SaltStick Fastchews, Nuun Sport chewables, Hydralyte chewable tablets, or Skratch Labs hydration chews. They’re easy to carry while hiking and don’t require dissolving. Taste varies, but all are great options.

Electrolytes destroying teeth, Anyone had the same? or advice?
All of the electrolyte drinks that fizz when water is added - make my teeth sensitive (lnmt, nuun, venture pal, etc.). The only one I’ve found that doesn’t fizz or make my teeth sensitive - is the original Pedialyte packets (not the amped up sports version or the other versions). I usually dilute it

Weekly Travel, Questions, & Mandarin Thread
I’m really used to nuun flavors so I picked it up but I’m pretty sure u can get other brands of electrolytes in Taiwan too. U can definitely get sports drinks as well at any convenience store but my recommendation is to get it at the grocery because it’ll be cheaper to buy like a litre or two rather

My kids are constantly on the go and I'm done with sugary sports drinks
electrolyte powders like drip drop or nuun tablets work fine for active kids since they're low sugar. for yourself on those long draining days, Ketone IQ +caff shots are solid, code TOPLVL26 floats around too.

Series: So You Want To Race Or Do Trackdays? Part 2: Your Body
Not good advice. Table salt doesn't have potassium or magnesium. Table sugar will spike your blood sugar levels and isn't the easiest to digest for energy. And, I'm not a fan of regular Gatorade at all because of the high levels of sugar. Like I said: people should do their own research. These days,

Recs for these items?
I like the Nuun Sport electrolyte tablets. They are significantly more compact than packets of powder like Liquid IV. The tradeoff is that they take ~5 minutes to dissolve, whereas the powder is pretty much instant. I don't mind any of the flavors I've tried, but one or two other people have told me
