Tips for beating the dry climate

Wear loose-long sleeve shirts if outdoors, light colors for pants, get some field pants .. lighter material than denim jeans. And if you look online, some fabric is designed for hot conditions. Bamboo is good in the heat. Get a wide- brimmed hat. I work outside for my career and have for 20+ years.

Feeling better after taking electrolytes!!!

I take a Nuun Sport Hydration tablet everyday, I find it a bit more potent and can tolerate the lemon/lime flavour for some reason (since I can’t go near an actual lemon or actual lime). Also Evian water makes me feel great and alert like I feel after an electrolyte tablet. I think it must be the sp

Vegan alternatives to Zipfizz?

nuun vitamins has b12 and is fizzy but some flavors are kinda meh. skratch labs hydration is good for electrolytes, though you'd need seperate b12. Energy Bits is intresting if you want bioavailable protein and algae nootropics instead of traditional drinks.

Ride Across Illinois - North

My 75 year old mother and her ileostomy/dehydration

I have an ileostomy and used to get dehydrated, but now manage it at home. The first step is to determine how much output she has and its consistency. If it is more than 1.5-2 litres per day and very watery, this would explain why she is getting dehydrated. Examining and measuring urine is also impo

Drop in milk supply

Don’t worry! My supply has been SOOOO sensitive this time around. With my first, I just had milk all the time. With this second one, it’s been a roller coaster. I’ve found that my body has been super sensitive to calories and hydration. I have to drink electrolytes every day when I’d never done that

How do y'all stay hydrated

I am terrible at drinking enough water. I simply just don't enjoy it enough to make it a routine thing and just carrying the bottle around isn't enough, so I have to find strategies where I look forward to it. I prefer it as cold as possible, so a ton of ice helps (my water bottle is super insulated

A good electrolyte brand that doesn’t taste too salty?

I've been doing the Nuun hydration tablets and really enjoy them. I'll do the pink lemonade ones with carbonated water.

Water filter needed?

Also, bring flavored tabs for the filter water. Like Nuun tablets or some kind of hydration with flavor. That water tastes gross by itself.
