A Follow Up On My Post Run Nausea Discussion

I do something similar. Tailwind in a bottle and jelly belly sport beans and/or Maurten gel as solid food. You’ll want to take distance, effort, and climate into account and fine tune the amounts accordingly. For example, on hot/sweaty days I get headaches after long runs that appear to be a hydrati

Half marathon training with a mood disorder

From my own experience as a runner and from chatting with my best friend who is currently breastfeeding, electrolytes are your friend. Can you get in some extra gatorade, liquid IV, mortal hydration, nuun, or something similar on a daily basis? Even twice a day, morning and night.

Cramping

electrolytes, hydration and the aforementioned potassium (which oughta be in a well balanced electrolyte supplement - I use Nuun tablets in extreme tropical climates - hot air temps, extreme UV, and 30-31C ocean waters - and am out there for hours on end...they work). I also gulp a scoop of BCAA+EAA

My feet keep cramping

For me, it's usually hydration and/or electrolytes. An electrolyte drink like nuun, LMNT, or even Gatorade may help you.

Sleeping after hard rides

Emotional support apple, that's hilarious!! 🤣 I absolutely hate gels but I do like the pro bar bolt gummies and the Nature's Bakery fig bars. And I'm partial to the Nuun hydration tablets if it's really hot out or I'm working really hard (climbing while mountain biking).

Smashed My First Marathon! 3:19!

I actually didn’t use any salt tabs, though I brought precision hydration pills with me in case of cramping emergencies. I wanted to try the course nutrition ahead of the race so I bought Nuun Endurance Electrolyte mix and really enjoyed it so I decided to bring my own water bottle with the Nuun pre

Vyvanse on empty stomach?

Same, I was getting a big surge for a few hours and then a big crash that made me nauseous and just a pos. Had to lay down for a couple of hours for it to wear off. 3 big things that have worked great for me: I have to eat a high protein meal of something when taking my meds and a follow up high pro

Liquid IV

Many turn their noses up at electrolyte supplements. However, I drink a tonne of water and sweat a lot. After my last physical, my doctor called to say that I needed to start taking hydration salts- she could tell I needed them from my blood test. They def help me feel more energized/less headachey,

Diagnosed IBD & running a half marathon

I’ve ran two half marathons, one last year during the worst flare I’ve ever had and one last week in remission! Hydration starts before the run, you need to drink throughout out the day. Also planning runs around the heat and weather- shady routes & early/ later runs during the cooler times of the d
