The Steam Deck had a sudden price hike of 300 USD shortly after Nintendo said that the Switch 2 will have a price hike of 50 USD.

Nintendo says it has no legal duty to pass its U.S. tariff refunds on to consumers
No it isn’t. What’s unique is that they specifically stated the reason for Switch 2 components, such as docks, controllers, that pointless camera and so on, have increased in price over their launch price was directly because of the tariffs. That’s one of the major points of the lawsuit if I’m not m

NSW2: How subscriptions work
FFXIV Coins can be used for optional items There it is. Nintendo wants a cut of every Switch 2 player using the Mogstation. Even the PlayStation version doesn't do that lol (though we do get one free Aetheryte destination as a PlayStation Plus perk)

Nintendo Switch has now sold 156.59 Million Units, Nintendo Switch 2 now at 23.68 Million Units sold Worldwide!
Hardware is amazing but software is a concern, just 9.46 million sold this quarter compared to 16.41 million for Switch 1 in it's equivalent quarter. After five quarters Switch 2 totals 58.17 million games sold compared to 68.97 million for Switch 1. The Switch 1 had a much lower installbase at this

Current number of sales of Monster Hunter Titles as of June 30th 2026 compared to the previous quarter
The conclusion then is that Rise wasn't as hated as people made it out to be, or it was a vocal minority. Because it definitely boosted Stories 2 while Wilds did little for 3. But my personal guess is that the Stories audience is largely just a mix of MH × Nintendo fans, and thus are mostly centrali

Memory capacity for all of 2027 has reportedly been booked and sold, with no more DRAM or HBM available
No one was clowning Nintendo for the price of its hardware. Yes they were. People expected a $350-$400 Switch 2, instead they got $450. It was the price of their software that people had problems with. This was in addition to their complaint about the base price of the console.

Should I buy a switch oled?
The Nintendo switch OLED is NOT worth it. If you’re going to get an upgrade, save for the switch 2.

Xenoblade 2 getting higher review scores on Switch 2
Xenoblade 2 ran very smoothly on my switch 1. No need give more money to Nintendo.

What should I buy Switch oled or Switch lite?
I’ll think about it but what’s the point of buying a switch 2 if I’m not gonna play triple a games and I’m not interested in the newest Nintendo releases?

The Switch 2 price going up to $499 in September is Nintendo doing something I didn't expect
I knew stuff like this was coming and got a PS5 Pro on launch for the intro MSRP. I was gonna get a Switch 2 and just got it before another price increase. More than likely be the last console if Nintendo goes the same route as Sony.
