The Steam Deck had a sudden price hike of 300 USD shortly after Nintendo said that the Switch 2 will have a price hike of 50 USD.

23.68 million SW2 units worldwide, after one year, huh? Let's compare with the other Nintendo consoles and handhelds... Switch 1: 17.79 million units Wii U: around 6 million units 3DS: 4.5 million units Wii: 13.17 million units DS: 14.43 million units Gamecube: around 9.5 million units GBA: 6.5 mill

Nintendo says it has no legal duty to pass its U.S. tariff refunds on to consumers
No it isn’t. What’s unique is that they specifically stated the reason for Switch 2 components, such as docks, controllers, that pointless camera and so on, have increased in price over their launch price was directly because of the tariffs. That’s one of the major points of the lawsuit if I’m not m

NSW2: How subscriptions work
FFXIV Coins can be used for optional items There it is. Nintendo wants a cut of every Switch 2 player using the Mogstation. Even the PlayStation version doesn't do that lol (though we do get one free Aetheryte destination as a PlayStation Plus perk)

Gaming In your 30s. (I've been doing it wrong)
As someone in their 50's who has been gaming for over 45 years, I can safely say that the Switch 2 is my favourite system of all time and I am someone who doesn’t really care for 90% of Nintendo first party titles outside of Animal Crossing. I also have a gaming PC, PS5 and a Xbox Series X, yet I ch

Where will Nintendo go after the Switch?
The Switch is Nintendo's perfect console. It seemed to me that they figured out that homeconsoles were a hit and miss sales wise and that generations like the GameCube and Wii U their handhelds were getting the most revenue so they decided to take the risk and make a hybrid of both and it was a hit

Except Nintendo never raised the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 or its games when the Vietnam tariffs were announced, they literally ate the cost for consumers outside of accessories.

Nintendo says it has no legal duty to pass its U.S. tariff refunds on to consumers
It's true, they don't. Also, Nintendo did not raise the price of the Switch 2 in response to tariffs, so the extra costs were paid by them anyway, not the consumer.

Nintendo Switch has now sold 156.59 Million Units, Nintendo Switch 2 now at 23.68 Million Units sold Worldwide!
Hardware is amazing but software is a concern, just 9.46 million sold this quarter compared to 16.41 million for Switch 1 in it's equivalent quarter. After five quarters Switch 2 totals 58.17 million games sold compared to 68.97 million for Switch 1. The Switch 1 had a much lower installbase at this

Switch 2 continues to be Nintendo’s fastest selling system, latest financial results show
It makes sense to me. At 500USD it's probably the best entry price for any gaming related console. You're not getting a reasonable PC for 500$, a series x cost 800usd, the gimped series s for 500usd, ps5 is 600USD (didn't even realize how much Xbox has basically setup their console to fail with thei
