Will Lumix Panasonic Bring the Next Big Leap? It is time for a S1H II.
Alright, let’s break this down.APPLE PRORES RAW is finally running smoothly in DaVinci Resolve 20.2. Yeah, the files are huge, BUT LUMIX is literally the only brand that lets you dump those massive files straight onto an external SSD.And honestly—unless you’re shooting FEATURE FILMS or some insanely

Trying to decide between a Z6 III or a Z8.
Bear in mind I came from 45 years of shooting Pentax ultimately with both K1 full frame and K3 APSC bodies. I wanted better motion tracking and better video and crucially stills capability for portraiture and landscape at least equal to my 36mp K1. I compared Canon, Nikon and Sony and very quickly r

Nikon peeling issue
I currently have my Z6III with the exact same issue shipped off for a warranty claim. From reading about it, it is a common issue specifically with Z6III, unfortunately. Other Nikon cameras don't seem to 'peel' as often. Either way, yea. You have to replace the whole grip. Do not try to glue it back

I want to upgrade from a D7200 to a Z series camera…
The Z6III is currently on sale - it is normally $2700 USD, putting it within $200 or so of a used Z8 which is why it's a total no-brainer for most people to just go with a Z8. Yes, the Z8 would be used (or refurb) but that is a compromise most people are willing to make in order to get a genuine fla

Where to go next? 6th year on Z and this is my current lineup.
My primary body is Z6III, which has been back to Nikon twice since June, and about to be a third time. The rubber keeps swelling and peeling off, they changed the design compared to the older cameras and are relying on this stupid adhesive rubber bumpers. Also the ibis lock sounds a little funny, bu

Ready to jump to Nikon, still undecided on body (Z6III vs Z8)
Came from a lumix s5iix which is very similar to the nikon z6 iii I in size, dimension and weight, and I found no much difference in weight while carrying the nikon z8 around, to me the nikon z8 feels more natural in my hands. Just like you I was in the same predicament, but I knew if I bought the z

Z5 II - Keep or not the sticker on the back of the screen ?
My Z6 iii didn't have this sticker. I'd be slightly annoyed by it, if I locked the monitor with the back facing outward. I wonder why it's there -- the permanent serial number plate is the useful data. Is this an EU thing? This photo shows that theirs had the importer web site, etc... https://www.re

/r/videography Monthly Camera Buying Advice Megathread
Hi everyone, I’m currently shooting wedding videos with a Fujifilm X-S20. While I love the "soul" and the user experience of the Fuji system, I’m finding myself increasingly frustrated. The autofocus struggles in some of the darker reception scenarios, and the high ISO performance is really starting

Please help me choose my first camera?
Pick any body that's above $1000, and you'll be happy. Don't go crazy though, you'll want a good lens too. People always forget the lens when buying their first camera. They'll buy a brand-new Nikon z6iii and then slap a kit lens for $200 on it (it's the Z 40mm f/2, I can guarantee it). Don't do tha

Z6iii, z50ii or keep my d500?
There's not really a perfect answer, because that would really be a hypothetical Z60 or Z70. As a still current D500 owner, it's the best stills crop sensor body today for wildlife, by anybody, still today in 2026. While the Z50II is respectable (and much better than an A6600), at top frame rates (a
