Mondfinsternis am Rheinturm [OC]

Danke dir!

Nikon Z6iii vs Nikon D850 vs Nikon D780 for Military Use

I understand. I just upgraded to the Z6iii from a D800. I compared the D850 and rented it but decided to go with the z6iii. The D850 is still a great camera but it’s old technology that is getting older by the day. The image processor on the z6iii is 2 generations newer than the D850. It has higher

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

On a settings banks equipped modern camera (EXPEED 5 and later at least, might go back to the EXPEED 4), you can also set it to change between banks with a simple button+dial with your eye to the finder and immediate feedback, just like you'd adjust exposure compensation or ISO. There are also numer

Happily ditched ZF for the Z5II

I agree that some of these critiques are pretty legitimate, others, to be honest, seem like a mismatch between how the camera is controlled and what you expected. The sensor? Basically identical to my old Z6, so a damn good one. There haven't been any real improvements in image quality in recent yea

Looking for a Fuji “fun camera” – X-T30 III vs X-M5 vs X-Pro2?

X-Pro2. Hands down. The X-T30III is a great camera, and the X-M5 is a nice little body, and both are technically better than the X-Pro2 on pretty much every aspect besides build quality. But if what you want is fun? Well, the X-Pro2 is the most fun I've had with a camera period. And I'm a camera hoa

Having issues with IR photography on Z6-II

I have an original Z6 along with a full-spectrum converted Z5 for IR photography. To convert it to full spectrum, they removed the hot mirror in front of the sensor. The difference in IR sensitivity between the two cameras is huge. If you haven't had the camera full spectrum converted, there is no w

Mirrorless D500

High-end crop sensor, i.e. north of $2,000 USD, is a hard sell. Even Fujifilm, the most successful crop sensor vendor, couldn't move X-H2 and X-H2S bodies when all of their other cameras were regularly out of stock. I also think Nikon was pretty successful in moving their higher-end DX DSLR customer

Z8 vs Z6III

I have both of these cameras. Here are my observations (assuming you shoot RAW): For birds, planes, and generally small far-away things, even with the 180-600, I love having the extra resolution the Z8 gives. The Z6 III does not (yet) have a dedicated bird detect mode, but that is coming this year:

Should I buy this Nikon D850 ?

Buy a z5ii. For real. Why? Because it's the best value you can get. It can do 10 bit video which gives you billions compared to millions of color tones, which really help for skin/faces. Even in h256 SDR video. You can sideload 'recipes' from the Nikon Imaging Cloud, meaning you can bake really nice

Should I upgrade from Nikon D750 to a Z series?

You already said you don't need to, so don't. Based on IQ, you won't notice a worthwhile difference with a Z6/Z6ii in daylight (BSI/higher native iso helps for low light a lot though.. Z6/Z6II are Nikon's best "low light" cameras ever, with Zf close). To me, a worthwhile (cheapest) upgrade begins wi
