I bought Sony a7iv and kind of regretting it
Switching systems back and forth never pays off. I did it once and went from D800’s to almost all-in on Micro 4/3rds and at one point had an E-M1X (kept the D800’s for studio jobs). It’s a competent system, and a perfectly comfortable body, and can handle just about any Commerical work, but yeah the

What Cameras Will The Artemis II Astronauts Have Aboard?
And? The Z6 is not the only mirrorless model on the planet, and if your comparison was "apples to apples," you'd be talking about Z9s. I'll also take a wild guess that saltwater immersion is not a factor in decisions on which cameras to take into space. Radiation makes sense, and Nikon has a history

Which Nikon Z body is best for dog photography with strong AF tracking (without going to Z8/Z6III)?
Yes, the D850 is a DSLR and it’s expected to work well, but if you want to buy a Nikon Z and not regret the purchase in the long run, you should go for a model with the EXPEED 7 processor. Cameras with EXPEED 6 work well, but they lack many modes and features. The Z5II uses the same sensor as the Zf

Talk me out of a Z7.
So I come from a unique perspective, where I did the same thing 5 years ago, except I went from an E-m1II + E-M1X to a Z9 and Z6. Had all the 1.2 Pro lenses too, like it was balls-deep-peak-Olympus. What I learned, was no matter what you get in Nikon-land, it’s going to be better than an E-M1II, whi

Looking for (relatively) unbiased comparisons from Fuji X/GFX users that moved to the z range
Hi, I came from an XT-5 myself (having an Xt-3 before), going to a z8, and I have made several comparisons on reddit over the past 2 ish years detailing the difference between the two. I have also shot a Zf, z6, and z6iii. Here are my findings: Pro Nikon: Fuji build quality is in the toilet, in my o

Is the Z6III right for me?
TL;DR: If you’re coming from a Canon T7 and want pro-level autofocus without the $2,500+ price tag of a Z6 III or A7 IV, the Nikon Z5 II is the move. 1.Better "Brains" than Sony (The AF Argument) While Sony has historically led the AF game, the Z5 II inherited the EXPEED 7 processor from the flagshi

How to maintain and use my camera in cold weather (around 0°C)?
No, it's fine. I regularly use my camera in Sub-Zero degree weather. Some time in as low as -20°c for extended period of time (Scandinavian astrophotography during winter). All my nikons I've ever had handles this without any problems (D5200, D7200, D850, Z6) with both more pro 'weather sealed' lens

ZR Suddenly dead
Sorry to hear! No that this helps, but I have been using Nikon for 25 years, I have two Nikon film bodies in a F100 and F6, a ZR and a z8, have previously owned a z6 and z6III plus have many Nikon lens G + Z and I have never had a technically issue with any of my gear.I have just taken a ZR across E

I took this photo with a Kodak Retinette 022 using Ilford HP5. What would the actual difference be if I used a Leica M3 instead?
You answered 90% of your question yourself. There are minute differences that some people won’t notice while some do. But the expensive camera is only one element, albeit expensive and complex. For many people, like myself, it’s the joy of holding a technologically advanced piece that gives us pleas

What is a decent bugdet camera+lens to get for bird photography for an amateur?
For amateur birding, I've got an OM-D E-M1 Mk II with the 75-300 II (and the 60mm macro for smaller critters handheld macros without a tripod are pure bliss). Before, I was a compulsive buyer: Nikon FF, Z-mount, Canon... tested and sold it all. Since switching to Olympus, no urge to change, lightweig
