Manual focus Issues with AIR series 20mm/25mm 1.7 lens.

I just started buying some of the AIR series lenses and noticed this problem with some copies of the 25mm F1.7 - the manual focus is glitchy and laggy. I know focus by wire lenses are non-linear but this piece was obviously defective. It goes fast one moment, and super laggy the next moment. (Video

Nikon Z50 Motherboard Repair

I bought my Z50 from eBay years ago and have had no problems with it until recently. The black flip tab circled in red was broken and has been held down with heat resistant tape in my recent discovery. I just received my camera back from Nikon and the quote is $450. I was thinking I can either push

Shooting Aurora with AE Bracketing

Continuous release with time delay only triggers the first bracket frame ( info: release mode: continuous L (or H) ). To advance through the bracket, I have to hold the shutter release, which defeats the delay to remove vibration. According to David Busch/Nikon z50 guide, I should not need an extern

Camera Flash Recommendations?

I’ve recently got back into photography and am starting from the beginning. As of right now I have a Nikon Z50 with a DX 16-50 lens. I don’t have any other equipment besides a battery charger at the moment. I recently did a photo shoot with my friend and realize how sucky the built in flash is. I di

So I've tried about 10 different setting variations I found online and nothing looks good, some outside shots look okay when the Sun is bright but anythin

Airshow photography - Low quality images: settings issue or camera/lens combo?

I visit my local airshow every year in September. The vast majority of my photos usually turn out low-quality — soft and noisy. This time, I shot most of my photos at f/8 with a 1/2000 shutter speed. I had no issues with motion blur, but a lot of my shots still came out soft.

I’m using a Nikon Z50

Not happy with JPEGs (especially skin tones)

I got a refurbished Nikon Z50. Coming from Canon / Fuji the JPEGs are lacking and the white balance is terrible. I did play with the picture controls, but it doesn't seem to help. Yes, I also played with white balance as well in camera and NX Studio I find skin tones tend go to green / yello
