Z50II + Z 180-600mm Sharpness/Focus Issues
Please forgive my complete ignorance as I am very new to all of this (I just got into this less than 4 months ago).
A few months back I bought a Nikon Z50 II and a Nikon Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 to document bird sightings, with the hopes that I'd develop more photography skills as time goes on.
I'll

Nikon Z50 AF tips
I am a long time Nikon user used to using DSLR's; D80, D90, D300, D7500 and I have just been gifted a Z50 with the FTZ adapter.
The changes to the autofocus system has proven a sticky point. Previously I'd stick to a single/dynamic point, but now I don't know what is best option; Dynamic Point, Wi

Hey should I buy Nikon z50 in 2026
Z50 isn't worth for wildlife. It has slow AF and can't detect bird eye. If you bought Z50 II later able saving up for better lens. This is answer from AI. Nikon Z50 is officially designed to detect the eyes and faces of dogs and cats using Animal Detection AF. This feature helps lock focus on pets,

Upgrading from d7100?
Yes 4.5 fps would be limiting for shoot fast moving objects. Better get Z50 II. Z6 has slow AF. https://youtu.be/9-aUTNsivXY https://cameradecision.com/compare/Nikon-Z50-II-vs-Nikon-Z6-Mark-II

Help me decide my next body
Hello folks! I’m looking to upgrade my body, as I’m hitting some limits that I think can be addressed. I’m currently using a Nikon Z50 with both kit lenses (DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 and DX 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3), as well as a Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED IF SWM VR II and a FTZ adapter.
I’m primarily sh

Lens failure or wrong model?
Per the recommendations of this sub, I recently bought this lens to use with my FTZII converter on my Nikon Z50. My intention is to use it for better depth of field in sports photography, so autofocus is a huge must. That being said, this lens won’t autofocus. I see it has a switch to go from manual

Nikon Z50 ii exposure measurement slow
I am using the Nikon Z50 II (newest firmware 1.02) and I have the feeling the the exposure measurement is quite slow. I did also a comparison with my Panasonic S1 and G100D and I can see the difference when I shoot in A mode. The measurement is a bit laggy on the Z50 II.
Is there any function that
