Used D7500 or save up for a Z50 as a first real camera
A D7500 won’t feel outdated. It’ll feel familiar and get you decent results. Also, are you talking about the Z50 or the Z50II? The former is not as good as the II, both will have worse battery life than the D7500 (and your D3200). With the Z you get a lighter camera and better autofocus but with wha

Mirrorless equivalent of D7500?
People are going to say Z50ii, but it's a side-grade. You're going to get similar image quality and AF performance in a smaller body with better video, but the end result is the same. Sometimes a slightly smaller package is all it takes to encourage you to use your camera more, but you're pretty muc

Best Performance for Value Zoom Cameras & Frames + Long-Reach Lens for a Wildlife Org To ID Birds & Take Decent Photos?
$400-800: The FZ80(D) is probably your only option if you are buying new. A used Nikon P950 also falls in that spectrum, though usually closer to $800. The FZ80D already has a lot of zoom and the P950 has even more. Neither are good in low light or particularly fast, so keep in mind that they'll str

OM5 ii Alternative Recommendations
The nikon z50ii body itself is not that bigger, but is heavier by almost 150 grams. It’s a major difference if you want to carry your camera everywhere with you, especially as m43 lenses are smaller and lighter compared to other systems

Need help deciding between Z50 II or d500
You're not going to like this answer, but the real answer is a Z6iii. One advantage of the D500 is that, at least on the used market, there is a wide range DX-specific F-mount lenses, many of them still available from Nikon on its refurbished site (and often discounted). You can put the 200-500 FX l

Should I downgrade my Sony ZVE10 M2?
Nikon Z50II + and adapter let you use your 11mm. It's a little on the bulky side thou. Fujifilm XM5 has mechanical shutter with similar spec, but much worse battery life and AF. Me, I would just use continuous lighting for videos and photos if needed.

Finally Upgraded to Nikon Z (Old and New in pictures)
It’s funny because I held the z50 II in my hands today and it felt tiny and uncomfortable (maybe because I’m coming from a Canon DSLR). I’m actually tempted to go for a D500 instead of a Z50. What lens are you pairing it with?

Z50II vs Z5II
Nikon Z50 II is lightweight & compact and so are the kit lenses. Unfortunately, there are very few professional and semi-professional grade lenses. What's more, the body relies on the built-in touch display for a number of interactions, which can quickly become an issue. Especially if it's below 0 C

Thoughts on this Canon EOS Rebel T7 Costco is selling?
R10 vs. R50 isn't a huge difference. On the inside, they're actually almost identical. The R10 is nice to have, but if the R50 is within your financial reach and the R10 isn't, go with the R50. Price shouldn't be a huge difference either. In case the price difference is significant (IMHO the R10 is

Birding camera recommendations
Definitely A6700 + 200-600 over Z50 II + 180-600. The A6700 has a higher resolution and IBIS and I think the 200-600 has a reputation for being sharper than the 180-600. The 150-500 recommendation is mostly for budgetary reasons, but it is also much more compact than the big 600mm zooms. Seriously,
