Looking left to Full frame & Looking right to M43 for wildlife

I have both, although the OM1 is mk I. Not for wildlife but anything else. Bought the Z5 II for indoor shoots with bad light. Use the OM1 almost exclusively. It is faster, feels better, ergonomics are better, more buttons. Don’t mention smaller lenses. And I am saying this as an old Nikon user (FM,

Anyone else find the joystick on the Z8 just not very good?

Same on the z5-ii. It's... pretty shit? doesn't respond until it does, and then it immediately moves you across the entire screen. Thanks Nikon. No idea why we can't just use the ring, worked for the d7xxx, never failed me.

Back to a DSLR after 15 years and couldn't be happier already.

I’ve owned that one camera since 2015 and still love it. I started buying refurbished lightweight primes from Nikon last year so I could stop carrying the heavy zooms and am very happy carrying less. I bought my son a Z6 III. He let me borrow it for a few days and it just didn’t inspire. I have also

Do the third party grips for the Zf completely make up for the ergonomic deficiency in the body or are users still making a compromise to get that vintage feel?

An addendum, to match things: I have the most perpetual back-and-forth with my Zf, and I don't think I'll ever stop being conflicted over it. I've almost given this camera up a dozen times over the last few months, and every time I change my mind and end up keeping it. Despite my misgivings over the

Exposure Compensation?

It would help to know what body you're working with. I have a Z9, Z6i and recently just got a Z5ii. I shoot in full manual 95% of the time. I have been able to judge exposure really well using the EVF's, LiveView, and light meter on the Z6 and Z9. However, the viewfinder/monitor on the new Z5ii is a

Exposure Compensation?

Interesting, the EVF playback looks properly exposed and the LiveView monitor looks similar also. But the RAW files appear on average 2/3 stops overexposed. I'm wondering if there's a discrepancy with the embedded JPEG vs the actual RAW file being produced? Nikon might need to tune the embedded-prev

Z5 II: Protecting lens release button - is it possible?

On F-mount cameras, there's always space (be it just few millimeters) between button and body edge. Similarly when you look at Z6 III - button is slightly moved towards body. In contrary Z5/6/7 II has button directly on the edge - perhaps more prone to be pressed when camera bumps to things. I'm una

Z5 II - Keep or not the sticker on the back of the screen ?

My Z6 iii didn't have this sticker. I'd be slightly annoyed by it, if I locked the monitor with the back facing outward. I wonder why it's there -- the permanent serial number plate is the useful data. Is this an EU thing? This photo shows that theirs had the importer web site, etc... https://www.re
