Using AF-S lenses with Nikon ZF
Entry level DX lenses are not worth the price of the FTZ to adapt to full frame Z bodies. You'll be left with only 10MP on the Zf, technically an upgrade over your D40x but very wasteful. 3-Lens Kit transition Z50 to Zf
I'd say consider Z5II instead of ZF. For the lenses tamron 50-400 sound good but if you can afford nikon z 100-400 it's a great lens. In the wider end Z24-120s is one of the best options. And you already have great prime if it's a full frame compatible. If you can keep the Z50+50-250 for a while, it
