Upgrade my gear from Nikon Z6II to Nikon Z8

The Z8 far, far exceeds the Z6ii in almost every way, so I am confident in saying it will be better “in terms of performance and technical features”, since you haven’t actually said what your needs are. AF performance, subject detection, 3D tracking, speed, resolution, controls, video, low latency v

Passing the torch Z6 -> Z6iii

My Z6 is ironically pretty much a dedicated video camera now, in a rig. Because even though its internal video can't keep up, its 10-bit UHD output for Prores 422 recording is great. And I've set it up to be easy to grab out of its rig when I want to use it as just a normal camera again. And ironica

Z6iii versus Z6ii

I'm a woman who owns/uses a Z6III and shot with a D5100 for thirteen years before that. In general, any Nikon mirrorless body would be an improvement over what she has, so I'm not surprised she was impressed with the Z6II. That said, I'm going to echo others and suggest the Z6III, especially if she'

Nikon D850 or Z8?

Given the fact he is comparing the z8 and d850 I didn't begin to talk about the lower-resolution Z cameras since he specifically stated he wanted these cameras which are the highest resolution Nikon offers. Ofcourse if you want to be on a budget and still get amazing image quality then the z6iii, z5

Replacement for Nikon D850

Z8 is one of the best cameras you can get right now in the land of Nikon. I've had mine since launch and it is a definite workhorse. If you don't need all those megapixels, consider the Nikon Z6II or Z6III. I used to shoot video for a non-profit with the original Z6 and the video quality is massivel

Nikon D750 vs Z6ii

Hey I run the Nikon D750 User Group on Facebook. I have used the Z6II extensively for sports. I also had a D750 for a verrrry long time. I wouldn't exquisitely rely on the Z6II for eye detection, especially during sports. It's quick but not that quick. It'll pick up heads and players but the eye det

Z6iii, z50ii or keep my d500?

Sport photographer here, not quite the same as what you do, but I guess we have similar requirements. My question is: what is the issue you are trying to solve that D500 can't do in terms of video function? How often do you need to shoot video? Can you hire it when you want to shoot video? In terms

Should I get 28-400?

I recently bought a Z6II and my only lens for it is that Nikon 28-400. It's a great lens. If there's something lacking in sharpness, I haven't detected it. My only real complaint is it's big and bulky (duh), but I knew that going in. What you're buying is versatility with a few trade offs.

Upgrade my gear from Nikon Z6II to Nikon Z8

I have the Z6II and ended buying a refurbished Z8 from Nikon. I kept my Z6II as a backup. You will not be disappointed with the Z8. I use it in my business professionally for photos and video. It's a beast!

70-200mm f/2.8 Concert Photography

Absolutely! As others have said, those 2 lenses are a great combination! Personally I use a Tamron 35-150mm in a nikon z6ii body as it covers ALL my needs and have high enough resolution that I can crop in close in post and it's still detailed.
