Upgrade my gear from Nikon Z6II to Nikon Z8
The Z8 far, far exceeds the Z6ii in almost every way, so I am confident in saying it will be better “in terms of performance and technical features”, since you haven’t actually said what your needs are. AF performance, subject detection, 3D tracking, speed, resolution, controls, video, low latency v

Z6iii versus Z6ii
I'm a woman who owns/uses a Z6III and shot with a D5100 for thirteen years before that. In general, any Nikon mirrorless body would be an improvement over what she has, so I'm not surprised she was impressed with the Z6II. That said, I'm going to echo others and suggest the Z6III, especially if she'

Is this an upgrade or a downgrade?
D750 user here! The actual feeling of Nikons iconicDSLRs (D610, D750, D800…) is nowhere to be found on the Z5ii or Z6II. Purely because of ergonomics and the general workflow is completely different. I’ve tried the Z6Ii and I loved it nonetheless. It’s sharp, it’s fast, it feels like a real jump bot

Nikon F5
After pickup it up the other the, I realized how MUCH I love it. The fit is utterly perfect in my hands. Heft, yes, but what a feeling of robust and just perfect design. I've stayed with Nikon since. My Nikon journey so far: N70 -> F5 - D90 -> D800E -> D850 -> Z6 II, and now Fuji; I have all the Nik

The canon look, is that a thing? Choosing between Canon r6 ii and Nikon z6 iii
The Nikon Z6iii has lots of ways to customise menu options, shooting buttons etc. It also integrates nicely with Picture Controls that allows you to customise the JPG output files directly out of the camera using different presets. These can be tested in NX Studio for example and then downloaded int

Does anyone have any experience with Neewer Grips?
I bought the Neewer MB-N11 version for my Z6ii and it failed in the Phoenix heat around 100 degrees while I was shooting a soccer match on only the second usage and starting messing with the shutter and electrical. YMMV in cooler weather but my branded Nikon grip has been rock steady as a replacemen

Z6 vs Z6ii
Z6ii can do real ( not kludged ) vertical grip and has 2 card slots which i find good for critical work. Only once but still troubling i pulled a card out to find it dead. If you can swing the z5ii which goes on sale on nikon refurb once a month roughly. I got one for 1149. It is sooo much better th

Viltrox 50mm f/1.4 Pro – first impressions
I've been using the 50 1.4 on my Nikon Z6II for a few weeks now and besides shooting pictures of my kids i used it for shooting a theatre play in pretty difficult lighting situation. Nothing but praise for it, i don't mind the weight and the handling is just perfect for me.

Is the Z50 II the right upgrade from a D3400?
Yeah, you won't need this for normal scenes. But it has some good uses for tricky scenes or subjects. All the Z cameras can do a manual focus override in autofocus modes. These features will work using the rear monitor or using the viewfinder. Turn the lens focus ring. On my Z6 iii, this interrupts

Should I get the nikon zfc or the nikon z50 ii?
Check out this thread on the Z50 ii: https://www.reddit.com/r/Nikon/comments/1sw6nbx/is_the_z50_ii_the_right_upgrade_from_a_d3400/ I think the Zfc or Zf is more about camera style and about a slower, more thoughtful photography experience. Take some time to set up the camera, then carefully compose the shot
