I unironically love the sound of a Mixcube
Look for sealed speakers, they have no bass reflex port to extend the low end and and can sound bandwidth limited depending on the amount/size of the driver. HEDD offers a physical option to switch to closed speakers by supplying plugs for the ports on their speakers. Amphions are sealed speakers, t

Time to upgrade monitors…want better mid range detail
Neumann KH150 + MA1 ; slightly over budget but quality and imo by far the best in this price range/class. Will obviously not sound like ATC, only ATCs will - the neumanns are more linear. Edit: I have the KH310 + KH750 + MA1. I’ve been to many (high end) studios and my setup punches far above its we

Upgrading to a more serious pair of monitors
So the standing wave of your room is 36.5hz, and therefore, every multiple of that (73hz, 109.5hz, etc.). Have you measured your room response with a measuring mic? It might be better to suspend the bass traps away from the wall. This will cause the room to become smaller, but it will provide better

I improved my monitoring situation, mixing is way easier and now I’m finding most plugins useless.
I had the 01’s for a few years. I was in a space that had low end problems and I thought it would be best to go with something that didn’t need a sub. They were great to work on, I loved listening to them and I really appreciated the feature that makes them kinda sound like NS10s bc I didn’t have sp

KH80s are amazing speakers at their size but are by no means enough on their own or without a sub for professional mixing and mastering. As a secondary alternate pair to a larger speaker there’s few choices better than kh80’s. But on their own, sorry they are not going to expose details in a mix lik

Monitors with similar mid range response as Barefoot Footprint 02
The only thing that sounds like Barefoots is Barefoots, for better or worse. I love my KSDs, and I’d also support Amphions or Neumann KH310. None are particularly like Barefoots though.

New Monitor Speakers
You’re welcome. I’m not familiar with the T series, but from what I know of Adam, their entire lineup uses ribbon tweeters, so I think you generally get decent bang for your buck even with the lower end models. I use Neumann btw, KH310s with KH750 ssystem. They’re pretty boring, but I think Neumann

Can you guess the style of music I make from this picture?
i'd do some simple, basic acoustic treatment first. then, and only then, look at better monitors than a7x. a good, linear listening enviroment is a combo of good acoustic and good monitoring. throwing money at monitoring only - is a waste. and most frequent amateur mistake. to keep it affordable, i'

What to Replace Adam T8Vs with?
I am very familiar with Adam's T series and find that the A series is even better in many ways. For up to €3,000, I would recommend the A7V+Sub or the A8V. If you want to invest even more, I would recommend the Neumann KH310. PS: For me, the A7V beat out the usual suspects from Neumann, Genelec, Foc

Home Studio Monitors under $5k ?
Neumann KH310 are about $5k these days. And Barefooot 03. I have the Neumanns and think they are really good.
