Wifi netwerk thuis
Tot €200 de tp link deco wifi mesh. (Deze heb ik en werkt prima, al had ik iets anders gekocht als ik meer budget had) Over de €200: Netgear orbi

Moving to a place where Cox internet is the best option. Need recommendations to make the best out of this situation.
I had Cox for over a decade in Irvine. I never had a problem with spotty connection or outages. I had huge problems with pricing and customer service. Got tired of having to do the dog and pony show every 12 months to get put on the new promotion to prevent huge price increases. I moved on to Google

Orbi AC3000 will be End Of Service within 45 Days
I currently use a set of Orbi RBR660 and satellites. While they work well, I absolutely hate the Netgear/Orbi interface and account systems. Paying the small premium for Ubiquiti next time for sure. I have loved getting to set them up for clients of mine and I recommend it to anyone I can.

After a full hardware failure of our current router —and downgrading to our past one— my parents have accepted the need for an upgrade. What routers do you guys run? Any suggestions?
I would do a plug in play mesh system like an Eero or a netgear orbi.

What wifi router do people use
I use Ubiquity Unifi gear since I’ve used it for almost 10 years. Netgear Orbi is a high quality product, Eero is probably ok too. More a question of how big your space is, is there a way to hardwire access points etc. The standard Verizon router may be totally fine for a small space.

Satellite can't search for new firmware
Keep this handy: https://community.netgear.com/kb/en-orbi-knowledge-sharing/procedure-to-manually-firmware-update-orbi-and-nighthawk-mesh-systems-/2456254 Works well if you need it. You'll be fine.

Netgear just EOL'd my Orbi AC3000 – any recommendations?
I got the same email. In reality, I think Netgear stopped upgrading the firmware for that router a few years ago. I have 4 Orbi units so even with the 20% discount I'm looking at around $800 and I'm hesitant to replace a system that is working well. So what I did is change my Orbi from the router mo

Plz recommend between Orbi 870, 970 or Eero Max 7
No, in fact wired back-haul from main to satellite is always recommended (faster connection, less latency, doesn't cause congestion or additional WiFi networks to be spawned etc), your mesh WiFi will still work if it's using WiFi back-haul, but you need to be careful with positioning of the satellit
