Moving to a place where Cox internet is the best option. Need recommendations to make the best out of this situation.
I had Cox for over a decade in Irvine. I never had a problem with spotty connection or outages. I had huge problems with pricing and customer service. Got tired of having to do the dog and pony show every 12 months to get put on the new promotion to prevent huge price increases. I moved on to Google

Netgear just EOL'd my Orbi AC3000 – any recommendations?
I got the same email. In reality, I think Netgear stopped upgrading the firmware for that router a few years ago. I have 4 Orbi units so even with the 20% discount I'm looking at around $800 and I'm hesitant to replace a system that is working well. So what I did is change my Orbi from the router mo

Plz recommend between Orbi 870, 970 or Eero Max 7
No, in fact wired back-haul from main to satellite is always recommended (faster connection, less latency, doesn't cause congestion or additional WiFi networks to be spawned etc), your mesh WiFi will still work if it's using WiFi back-haul, but you need to be careful with positioning of the satellit

Possible Orbi RBR50 issues. Considering upgrading.
I’ve been using an RBR50 with two satellites for about 5 years, the Netgear firmware would have the wifi go down randomly and weird glitches. In searching for other firmware I came across Voxel’s firmware which runs latest versions of individual code on the router and opens up to additional function

Recommendations on WiFi mesh for old building?
I use TP-Link Deco units, and they work fine. A mate has Netgear Orbi units and they work well too in his old house but the units were too large for my liking. The Deco app is pretty good and has the usual features you would expect - guest wifi, device blocking etc and you can connect wired devices

How can I get “free” Bell pods?
Haha, to each their own! Why pay to rent equipment if you're going to get poor support? I've used those pucks before, and honestly, they’re not the greatest. The original poster mentioned having three floors and placing the modem in the basement probably where Bell brings in the fiber and installs t

Can I use my Gen3 router with a different ISP?
look into unifi or netgear orbi. I got rid of my wireless fiber provider for Starlink and it's been way more consistent. I run two GEN three routers right now but I'm switching to unifi soon. ultimately wanted their cameras so I'm adopting the whole ecosystem. i get 200-300 down and 50 up on starlin

Recommendations or a simple home setup
Ok....so you want a Wifi router with a couple of ethernet connections. Any one of several newer Tp-link or netgear ones will do. The rub will be how much bandwidth you need/want for the wifi and how far does it need to connect (via Wifi) A full fledged leading edge mesh 7 system with multiple satell
