Plz recommend between Orbi 870, 970 or Eero Max 7

No, in fact wired back-haul from main to satellite is always recommended (faster connection, less latency, doesn't cause congestion or additional WiFi networks to be spawned etc), your mesh WiFi will still work if it's using WiFi back-haul, but you need to be careful with positioning of the satellit

Quantum Fiber Mesh

I think the Asus systems, zenwifi bt10 as well as the netgear orbi 770 (this one has a subscription). I have used asus routers in my house, so I used their software to create a mesh system as i upgraded, my main is be98pro, with nodes of be92u and a gtax11000. If you can wire your backhaul, then you

RBE971 - The Worst Product Ever Made: Do Not Purchase

I have had problems since I purchased my 971rbe and two satellites last June. Problem after problem. Disconnects etc, IPv6 broken and had to disable. Finally got to point I bought eero 7 pro. A little slower but stable as heck. No drops IPv6 is on and no issues. I finally decided to leave them on pe

Possible Orbi RBR50 issues. Considering upgrading.

I gave my rbr50 to my mom and its still going strong, as 2 other RBR50's I set up are also going strong still (but they might be at their end of lifespan, time will tell) BUT I firmware locked all of them. I tried the Obi 860 and had nothing but problems, returned. Then purchased an Asus ET12 , that

Need HELP Orbi 370 series dual band Wi-Fi seven mesh includes one router and one satellite

NETGEAR customer support did MANY setting changes. Everything is going well now! Just wondering about Customer Support Assistance after the 90 days. Google search says it is not a good purchase and most do not purchase the plan. Actually if I bought the plan I might as well have rented the router fr

Need HELP Orbi 370 series dual band Wi-Fi seven mesh includes one router and one satellite

When you buy a product from NETGEAR you get a warranty time frame. THey do offer extended warranty plans I think. I tend to not pay any attention to google searches or Ai results as they tend to be inaccurate at best. Glad NG support got it working for you. Be sure to save off a back up configuratio

Does the access point's uplink speed matter in a real-world residential setting?

No, I see people here bashing on Mesh APs. I used an Orbi Mesh system for 10 years. I have 48 devices on my network and a 400Mb Xfinity service. Those Mesh APs provided 100% of that ISP throughput even at the perimeters of the covered area. So to answer your question no in a residential setting the

Netgear Orbi dropping WiFi every few minutes after swap from FW Purple to Gold

I find it amazing that once a system working with one particular firewall doesn't with another then blames the Mfr for it not working with the different firewall. Hmm. Maybe you should check into firewalla first before placing blame on orbi or netgear. Would do you better good if you did more troubl

RBE971 - The Worst Product Ever Made: Do Not Purchase

Absolutely agree. But I can say with 100% confidence my setup and environment is flawless. As confirmed my NetGear themselves. I just simply got a dud. The replacement system they set me is setup the exact same way in the exact same location and has been flawless. The same goes to my previous Orbi a
