Orbi 970 with Ubiquity ucg-fiber?
I did this with Orbi 770. Didn't solve any of the reliability issues with the Orbi system for me. Then built out a full UniFi XG switching core too. Everything worked fine on that and solved the backhaul hourly lag / packet loss when fully wired. Didn't help with the wireless implications though, of

Problems with iPad / iPhone 16 Pro Max
The reason you’re having issues is because Netgear’s recent firmware for their WiFi 7 products is awful, and it causes the issues you’re having with iOS devices. There’s nothing you can do to fix it. Netgear released a firmware update recently that states in its release notes that it fixed the issue

Enough is enough…
I had the Orbi 770. Absolute garbage!! Just switched to the EERO Max 7. Literally every problem I had with the Orbi (constant dropping WiFi, older devices unable to connect, satellites dropping, random slow speed, etc..) was resolved with the EERO. Took me about 2 minutes to setup and it has worked

Stream randomly drops to 1FPS
I had a very similar issue with my mesh system… Once I turned off all but the main node, the problem went away. I had a Orbi 770 and it had basically no options to resolve the issue, but then I switched to a TP Link Deco WiFi 7 system and the lag spikes went away as long as I set it to prefer a sing

Giving in to hardwire, Unifi the way to go for the rest?
I've been from Google Nest 6E -> Orbi 770 (Wi-Fi 7) -> Eero Max 7 + Outdoor 7 -> adding a UniFi UCG-MAX as my gateway -> UCG-Fiber and XG switching core -> then full UniFi APs too after an Eero firmware update literally broke AP selection and performance for critical stuff like my remote cameras and

Feel like a hostage owning Orbi 770. Help needed!
I have had a 770 with 2 satellites for the couple of months. It was working fine until two nights ago. My iPhone 14max pro kept disconnecting. It showed on the Orbi app that the Orbi was not connected to the internet. However, on my iPad it was showing it was connected! After much head scratching I

Why don't I see 6ghz on my WiFi 7 quadband mesh system?
In the specs for Netgear Orbi 770 that OP stated he has, is specifically says 6GHz. It's frustrating that 6GHz is not required for wifi 7, but outright stupid that there is no clear demand to clearly stat what bands are supported. But for OP I think that discussion us mute. Also, when wifi 7 devices

Best Bang for the Buck Mesh WiFi System
I have a specific problem, I have 2Gig connection, I use cat 6 wires for most of tvs and computers, I recently got a eero pro 7, I have ring outdoor cameras and they play shitty with my eeros, also WeMo's keep dropping with eero, I tried Orbi 770 and even worst experience of dropped connection more

Orbi 970 how to get Govee Matter connection with HomeKit
My Orbi 770 system cannot route traffic between the 5 and 6 GHz bands. Sometimes had issues between 2.4 and the other bands. And / or ethernet. That's probably what you're running into.

New Orbi 770 Experience
I have Orbi 770, total of 5 units (1 hub, 4 satellites). I also have quite a bit of IoT smart home devices (Apple HomeKit, Google Nest cameras, TP-Link Tapo cameras). Things were running fine until I upgraded to the latest software v10.5.20.3. Now I have smart switches (on HomeKit) becoming disconne
