Orbi 970 with Ubiquity ucg-fiber?

I did this with Orbi 770. Didn't solve any of the reliability issues with the Orbi system for me. Then built out a full UniFi XG switching core too. Everything worked fine on that and solved the backhaul hourly lag / packet loss when fully wired. Didn't help with the wireless implications though, of

Have you been having frequent Spectrum internet outages?

I would suggest either the Asus RT-BE96U if you can get by with a single device (if the modem will be located in the middle of your home and you are at about no larger than 2,000 square feet), or the Netgear Orbi 770 series if your space is larger and/or the modem is in the far corner of the home wh

Is TP Link a good replacement for Orbi?

I switched to Eero 7 stuff, running 2x Eero Max 7 and 2x Eero Outdoor 7 in AP only mode w/ UniFi UCG-Fiber for my router/gw. No regrets. SO MUCH more stable than the Orbi 770 with its hourly lag/packet loss issues. The roaming is second to none. I've tested it thoroughly and I'm impressed. I know it

Orbi 770 in AP-mode, is it stable?

I’ve been running the orbi 770 latest firmware with wired backhaul with zero issues and would highly recommend them

real world difference in wireless vs wired backhaul for Orbi 770?

I saw no improvement with stability my 750 series with wired backhaul vs wireless mesh. It wasn’t good with either after a given firmware update. I personally left Orbi a year ago due to stability problems. There is still someone I help out who has a 770 series. Their stability has been getting wors

real world difference in wireless vs wired backhaul for Orbi 770?

I use MOCA with my Orbi 770 mesh system. Couldn’t be happier. It just works.

In Praise of The Orbi.

I’m also a satisfied Orbi 770 system user, 2 x satellites (AP’s) wired backhaul. Solid WiFi throughout my home (2 floors) and a good stretch of the front and rear gardens. My only wish would be more settings in the web UI. I make use of the IoT channel but it doesn’t have a separate vlan, which kind

Upgrading to RBK853 AX6000 vs. AX5200

So your only reason to upgrade is because the RBR40 is end of life I assume, speeds are all good. Have you considered the Orbi 770? Newer tech than the RBK and works well in a wired backhaul environment. It is an entire system also, so you probably wouldn’t need to fork out for an AX6000 in addition

Stream randomly drops to 1FPS

I had a very similar issue with my mesh system… Once I turned off all but the main node, the problem went away. I had a Orbi 770 and it had basically no options to resolve the issue, but then I switched to a TP Link Deco WiFi 7 system and the lag spikes went away as long as I set it to prefer a sing

BEWARE: Orbi 770 is absolute trash. Netgear support is even worse.

Which TP-Link did you pick up? I just hooked up the Orbi 770 BE11000 and did the dance trying to find the best location for the satellite. Not unhappy with the results. I also have an unopened TP/Link BE63 BE10000 (2 satellites) on my office floor waiting for a day when the house is empty to give th
