Netgear has an issue with: No MLO No wifi 7 on the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. Just wifi 6 mode on those two bands. Struggles to maintain multi-RU allocations like it should. 700mbps on 2.4ghz is effectively a lie, being on top of an rs700s router with a be200 laptop caps at 144 mbps.

How often should a router realistically be replaced?
That's exactly the model I had! ...and because there are so many exploits these days and Netgear is not providing updates any longer (not to mention the news about irrational rules about foreign made routers), I recently replaced it with an RS600 (my ISP cannot exploit an RS700S any time in the fore

A late reply, I just wanted to mention that the netgear rs300 is using a combined SoC+Radio BCM6765 chip while the netgear rs700s uses a BCM4916 CPU SoC with BCM67263/BCM6726 radio chips.
