Good Wi-Fi Router in 2026. Any recommendation?
Just did this - 7 people, 3 floors. Went through a few mesh systems (tplink be4800, be5000, XE75). Hated the way mesh worked, walked to another room device would hang on the further node and online games were choppier (higher ping and latency) than a single nighthawk (even had wired backhaul from ma

Best router/mesh system for 1000/100 mixed wired/wifi router
I highly recommend a rs700s by Netgear!!!! I have one. And I love it. It’s super fast ping for games and can handle a lot 4x4 connection on 2.4 5 and 6 hz. It’s wifi 7 and has a huge range (metres). It’s an over kill for my needs. But I really like it and should last for several years. Had no proble

Best router/mesh system for 1000/100 mixed wired/wifi router
https://www.netgear.com/au/home/wifi/routers/rs700s/ Yes that one. This is netgear website. Range says 325 square metres. If you want, you could look at rs600, which is cheaper. A warning about Netgear routers.
Routers are all hit or miss, that's the reality. There's nothing worse about Netgear than Eero or Asus routers. I know, I've tried all of them and it's rolling dice just like having an experience with Telcos. Who you get in customer service when something goes wrong, a fluke with their firmware or g

How to increase?
Even the cheaper Mesh systems without wired backhaul will suffer. You could go with a really expensive Deco system that has good wireless backhaul but you're looking at $800-1000. I have a 3500 sq ft house. Went through 3 deco (be4800, be5000, xe75pro) systems, Netgear nighthawks (rs300, 500, 700),

Which router should I get?
You're understanding is correct. The AdTran routers they provide are garbage! You're better off going with your own router. Lots of folks prefer Ubiquiti and they're decent, though I've had great luck with a Netgear RS700S. Dual 10GB WAN and LAN ports along with multiple 1GB ports and the latest and
