This subreddit threw away all of my research

Your best bet is to simply go to a mattress store. Everyone has different sleep needs and trying them out is the best way to get an idea. Avoid all bed in boxes like nectar, Casper, etc.

Cut Mattress into quadrants

We got a Nectar mattress and it started sagging within 2-3 months, I′ve been so disappointed! Thank goodness for that return policy at least, I′ve been dragging my feet on it but this thing ain′t working out.

Memory foam is the worst thing ever invented

I didn't have anything so severe, but I am always sore after sleeping on a Nectar mattress that was theoretically supposed to be so much better than my cheap mattress. I went back to my cheap mattress and don't have problems.

Anyone have experience with this one?

Mine is being delivered Wednesday. I currently have a nectar hybrid which I hate. I prefer the high responsiveness of an innerspring mattress vs hybrid.

Best cooling mattress for hot sleepers? Finally replacing my old bed

if heat is your number one issue, I'd lean toward the Bear elite hybrid over either Nectar model. Moving from an older foam mattress to a well-designed hybrid is likely to produce a more noticeable improvement than upgrading from one all-foam "cooling" mattress to another

Getting rid of mattress

I got a bed from Jordan's. I liked the pocketed coils and foam. My now bed is a nectar premium from mattress firm. I liked it for like a year or two. I wont be getting another boxed mattress.

Ashley versus mattress firm, a cautionary tale

Yup, I bought a nectar. What a nightmare. I remember 8 years ago I bought my mattress from Badcock for $800. Just laid on a few in the store, picked one, no problems. Now it seems like with the bed and box companies, mattress shopping has completely changed. Who knew it would be so awful

Mattress sunken and my body hurts. Advice please!

I'm in the same position but I don't even want another nectar. I'm in constant agony, I had to use a camping pad while I was pregnant bc it was unbearable. Not doing another well marketed mattress on the next purchase.

How are the Sealy Posturepedics?

Completely understandable, I'm not a fan of toppers either. I feel if you have to spend over $1,000 on a mattress, you shouldn't have to spend more on additions. So I just received my Sealy Posturepedic Omak Valley 13", seems to be better than my nectar medium firm Luxe hybrid mattress so far. I onl
