Reading this while laying down on my Purple mattress (have owned for several years. Im still not convinced that it's any better than any other similarly priced mattress. In fact, I've bought several cheap LinenSpa mattresses on Amazon for the kids, and those are actually more comfortable.

Financing a mattress—does anyone own anything

Yes!! We bought a Linenspa King about a year ago and this thing is magical. It was on sale for less than $200 and is seriously one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on.

What bed do you swear by?
Linenspa. Firm spring mattress and the grooves don't catch your kneecaps(standard mattresses with diamond patterns catch my kneecaps and my mother even dislocated her knee this way; linenspa has a wave pattern so nothing to catch). Edit: also as far as mattresses go, pretty economical
