Completely lost on which e-reader to buy
to me your options are basically Kobo or one of the Android tablets like a Boox Go 6 Gen 2 or Musnap Ocean. I would not bother with PocketBook; they tend to be overpriced and I have been extremely unimpressed with the InkPad One I've been testing.

I have only used a Musnap and I would say that it depends on your price point. I believe someone made a post about their experience with the Musnap ocean here.

Musnap Ocean is an Android device similar to the Boox Go 7 that’s on sale at 30% off on Amazon right now. It has a bundle that includes the pen and case that has the same discount too. The Ocean comes in color or black and white. A fairly new device with more videos popping up on YouTube.
