Anyone came back to SD OLED after other more powerful handhelds?

Haven’t gone back yet BUT! Had a Steam Deck LCD. Gave it to a family member because I got a Legion Go for a very low price. Loved the screen. Did not love the ergonomics. Installed SteamOS on it as soon as the Legion Go S came out and Steam supported it officially. Ergonomics continued to irk me. Th

Xbox Rog ally x disappointment

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. He already owns MSI Claw 8 AI+ which is amazing device. Why would he bother to get Xbox Ally X in his case??

Xbox Ally in great demand, ASUS expects to make up to $160 million from handhelds and ramps up production

I don't have the Xbox ally but I have the msi claw 8 ai, and it runs the Xbox front end just the same. I'm 40, and a new first time dad. If it wasnt for handheld gaming id be out of the hobby. Too easy just to pick it up for a few minutes before bed or if the baby is napped out. It's how Im playing

Give it to me straight - what’s the consensus on Steam Deck OLED?

The reason for the split is some people treat handheld PCs as a secondary gaming device, so their expectations regarding higher end demanding games are lower as they can game on a PS5/PC and/or game stream demanding games. While others treat handheld PCs as their primary gaming device either due to

Windows hate is overblown.

I think it's mostly around the current implementation of windows on handhelds. It's a standard version of windows, with some extra bits on top to shoehorn it onto handhelds. Steamos was purpose built with handhelds in mind. It's also based on arch Linux and runs only what's required. Whereas you got

What is going on with the handheld gaming revolution?

Well, this post misses the point. Steamdeck (and the unmentioned Switch) can both sell with low prices or even at a loss because they both have great revenue with their games/store. And, while your post might make sense in a vacuum, the reality is that Lenovo could not keep up with the preorders on

Intel "Lunar Lake" Updated PL2 Setting Can Yield Up to 30% Higher Gaming Performance

In our retest, Cyberpunk 2077 and Space Marine 2 achieved nearly a 30% performance uplift with this setting. The Lunar Lake-based MSI Claw AI+ A2VM handheld is the highest-performing device we have tested across the board, even surpassing AMD-based devices in our testing suite. In other games, basel

You were right about the Xbox Ally X

I tried the LeGo 2, MSI Claw 8 and I got the XAX at the moment, and I don’t think 7 inch is that small. Sure less bezels and 8 inch was a welcome. But for it is a handheld, if I want to have a bigger screen I just grab my gaming laptop or go to my gaming pc. Maybe if you don’t have all these devices

I have 1000$ to spend on a handheld - what should I buy

Gosh man, people still recommending the steam deck is a little frustrating. He has 1000 dollars, and can easily afford something with far, far more performance than a steam deck but nope. For OP, I would recommend the Xbox ally x or MSI claw 8ai+

Looking forward Phawx's tweaking

Just FYI. I've been collecting data on Win5 at 15/20/25/30/35/40/45/50 at 720p/1080p and also included Blackmyth and Doom the Dark Ages so you can get UE5 and a game with forced RT to help contextualize why what the Win5 is capable of and where it has diminishing returns. I also collected new data w
