Billbil-Kun: Xbox Rog Ally releases October 16

Poorly, just like all the other Ally units. Asus, MSI et all are iterating too much and flooding the market with units that all sorts of compromises. It confuses the average buyer - and you need their dollars for this concept to become a big enough hit to matter. Valve did it right. Keep the platfor

MSI skips RDNA 4 and will not manufacture AMD Radeon 9000-series GPUs

From randomly unlaunching their amd gpus to their ex ceo giving an interview sayin that they can't sell amd laptops because "intel is our friend and that would be like betraying intel", and taking intel's funding to launch the msi claw (which was a disaster on meteor lake), msi has never been a good

At this point hes just hoarding

r/handhelds is the only video games sub I follow. I'm amazed at how many people are collecting countless similar handhelds. Like, why would you need three DS, or a MSI Claw plus a Steamdeck?

Its official

Yeah man i agree, buying these expensive handhelds first is a no no for me. I got a msi claw am1 for 250 a few months ago bucks and that thing came out March 2024.

Dear Valve, please save us

You're comparing the cheapest possible Steam Deck to much more highly specced systems. A 512GB Steam Deck OLED ($550) is only $50 less than the similarly specced ROG XBOX Ally ($600) that was just announced. The $350 Steam Deck is a decent device, but it has significantly performance and specs than

iFixit says the Switch 2 is even harder to repair than the original

Xbox Series S (with a current MSRP of $380) is not portable neither does it come with a display and speakers, a PC hardware sub of all people should know that portability carries price with it. The cheapest Steam Deck is $399 MSRP and it comes with a terrible screen and even older hardware. No MSI C

I love the Steam Deck. Is it weird that I still prefer Phone + Gamepad for emulation?

VERY weird timing. I just sent back an MSI Claw I bought to give the windows handheld a try (have previously had a Steam Deck, sold it to a friend in need). I let the Claw go because it was a HUGE hassle software-wise and the phone gamepad combo was so much easier to just pick up and play. Not to me

Another MSI Claw 8 AI+ vs XBOX Ally X post

I’ve had both, and to me it doesn’t matter how big the screen is when the device is uncomfortable. Plus, as you’ve mentioned, the MSI software is absolutely dogshit and, quite frankly, an embarrassment. I’m not sure about prices where you are, but the Claw is also £100 more expensive in the UK. One

Claw 8 vs a8 Which one would be good?

I've had both the 8AI+ and the Claw A8 and the A8 is about the be returned. This is personal preference, everyone is different... The A8 does not feel as premium as the 8AI, the plastics feel cheaper and they've made the fans smaller to allow larger SSDS to be fitted so you get louder fans at idle.

Lenovo legion go 2 Z2

i did have the msi claw a8 with the z2 extreme i sold that because i wanted the 8.8 oled screen of the legion go 2, ive read that the z2 is just pretty much a rebranded z1 extreme and the z2 extreme is about a 20% increase of performance which many have said its not worth of an upgrade if you alread
