Minisforum MS-A1- Issues
This is exactly the experience that I am having with my 5070 in the DEG1 (secure boot problems, prompting PIN reset every Windows boot). For me it exhibits as the TPM 2.0 not being able to start with the 5070. I tested with an Arc B580, and RTX 4080 Super - they do not have this problem. Now that we

Minisforum MS-01 Stopped powering on
I also have 2 units that did the exact same thing. I have both 12900H and a 13900H that were running proxmox then after getting flakey with updates they died with the blinking shorted power supply symptom. the 12900H was main unit and i swapped it for the 13900H. now I have a MS-a1 that hopfully las

Curious - is it all just about efficiency?
I have a small space to host my environment. It has to live under the stairs with not much in the way of ventilation, so low power and low heat is the priority. Partner doesn't like noise, so low fans too. I have in fact recently downgraded and downsized too. I used to have an MS-A1 with an Oculink

AOOSTAR AG02 vs Minisforum DEG1 + CORSAIR RM850e (2025)?
Yeah, MINISFORUM dropped the ball for part of the MS-A2. The original MS-A1 had an Oculink port that was NOT using any M.2 slots, although that is due to the fact it didn't have its own PCI-E port, so maybe it would be an OK tradeoff.

Minisforum MS-A1- Issues
What BIOS version did you get with the replacement? I got my MS-A1 too from Amazon last week, and it came with 1.06. I did a quick test that everything is running ok, then I immediately flashed it with the latest version 1.11 from the Minisforum site. The update seems progressed normally, then it sh

People with Minisforum MS-01 or MS-A1 Mini PCs, how has it been?
In my opinion they're in a weird spot right now (looking strictly at them as hypervisors). MS-01: Incredible value with vPRO for remote console, but the big.LITTLE Intel CPU is terrible for virtualization. I believe Proxmox is the only hypervisor that doesn't throw a fit when it's got efficiency and

MiniPC choice - Photography Studio, Admin system
Due to reputation & build quality, Minisform no longer finds the respect they once received on this subReddit. Native SFF-8612 i4 OCuLink has given way to brands akin to GMKtec, where the MS-A1 provides SFF-8612, the MS-A1 doesn't. The AI X1 Pro use greater heat dissipation/reduced bandwidth SODIMM

Minisforum MS-A1 two GPU support
I know this is an old thread. Just adding my vote that it won't work in case anyone stumbles on this thread. I've been troubleshooting lots of issues with my ms-a1 with a 4090 on a deg1 via oculink. Bsods, directx errors, lots of hard to explain windows issues. I have a thunderbolt dock on the usb4

MS-A1 questions
I like my 4 ms01's, each with two sk-hynix 2tb ssd's that stay nice and cool, and I use the thunderbolt interfaces for egpu's for transcoding. I was eager for the amd version because I want ECC ram, but unfortunately the ms-a1's not only lack ECC, but they also lack thunderbolt. I have zero interest

Pls Advise before I lose my goddam mind
In recent history, Minisforum build quality & customer service, notably when it comes to their 2-year warranty, has been questionable at best. I read your comment on the MS-A1, depending on the terms of the seller's 5-year warranty, would make the best deal "of the bunch". Unless it's a full refund
