Anyone else switching to a mini PC and feeling kind of… surprised?

I recently got my Minisforum UM790 ProAND I LOVE IT! It's super fast, it's so small and SO powerful. I run some games on it, nothing too fancy. things like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk. No glitches what so ever. To me it's astonishing to see how these things evolved. I started with 33Mhz and

Minisforum's Terrible Post-Sale Service, seeking other user stories

I see these posts all the time and I hate to say it but it’s clear in their warranty they only cover their own online store for warranty. It’s the risk you take for saving money buying Chinese. If you want a better warranty buy Dell, Asus, Lenovo etc. I do feel for you but know what you’re getting i

This is Confusing!

I had the Minisforum UM790 Pro and it was a very quick little device. I ran Linux on mine and it was great. I eventually sold it and got a Mac Mini, which has also been great. It's amazing how much computer they can pack into a little box these days. I don't have any personal experience with GMTek b

Is Minisforum Pc Reliable or absolutely not?

I like the brand and the tech, disappointed with support. Been using my Um790 pro for over a year now and really happy with the performance of the unit. Only caveat is the WiFi quality is not great, so I installed a stronger antenna l. I would recommend going for a barebones unit so that you can dea

Do not buy any Minisforum products if you value your time and money there is a big chance you will lose both

I think it is a good idea to buy any Chinese Mini PC from somewhere with an easy return option, like Amazon (shipped by). There is a reason they are so cheap and that is skipping a lot of the QC that named brands have. I’ve been pretty happy with my Minisforum UM790 Pro. I’ve had issues with it, but

My bad experience with Minisforum

I've read quite a bit of horror stories with people dealing with Minisforum! However with that being said, I've had a UM790 pro and a HX99G for about a couple of years now and I just love them. Recently though I believe the power adapter for the UM790 has died and I've been trying to order a new one

MiniPC without any problem , does it exist ?

Maybe ASRock DeskMini? I have 2 Minisforum running well over the years. They are UM 773 Lite and UM790 PRO R9.

UM790 Pro

Go to AMD and install their drivers and management software for CPU/APU: https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/previous-drivers.html/processors/ryzen/ryzen-7000-series/amd-ryzen-9-7940hs.html Whenever you have the option, always grab OEM drivers instead of Minisforum. You can grab the Mediatek Wi

Buying a Mini PC for the First Time. (Need Help)

Damn that mini PC with 128GB RAM sounds nuts! I had a Minisforum UM790 Pro with 64GB of memory. I ran Kubuntu on it and it was rock solid. Great little device. I eventually sold it and got an M4 Mac Mini, which has also been great, but I do miss my little Linux box sometimes.

Any predictions for Amazon Prime Day sales?

Heyas peops :) So, Prime day questions. Using a 10yr old NUC for our 77" TV. Upside, still works and with no fan, utterly silent. Downside, can't drive 4k, Win 10 abandonment coming, and likely old tech vulnerability via outdated WiFi. So, we're upgrading. Intended use, drive 4k, maybe some light ga
