I see these posts all the time and I hate to say it but it’s clear in their warranty they only cover their own online store for warranty. It’s the risk you take for saving money buying Chinese. If you want a better warranty buy Dell, Asus, Lenovo etc. I do feel for you but know what you’re getting i

I like the brand and the tech, disappointed with support. Been using my Um790 pro for over a year now and really happy with the performance of the unit. Only caveat is the WiFi quality is not great, so I installed a stronger antenna l. I would recommend going for a barebones unit so that you can dea

I've read quite a bit of horror stories with people dealing with Minisforum! However with that being said, I've had a UM790 pro and a HX99G for about a couple of years now and I just love them. Recently though I believe the power adapter for the UM790 has died and I've been trying to order a new one

Thanks for sharing! That SER8 sounds like a great quality-of-life jump—32 GB + 1 TB and a tidy desk is exactly what I'm after. I'm collecting all suggestions and, after digging, the UM790 Pro seems to fit my workload really well (Photoshop + tons of tabs), though I've also heard Minisforum support c

Woah, super helpful, thank you! This lines up with what I'm seeing: RAM: I'll target 32–64 GB; Chrome + PS absolutely eat it. Storage: I agree on a dedicated NVMe for scratch (250–500 GB is fine). The minis I'm eyeing have dual M.2, so OS/apps on one, scratch/projects on the other. GPU: iGPU is fine

I picked up a renewed MINISFORUM Venus UM790 Pro with 64gb ram and 7940HS from amazon about a month ago for $489 and am loving it! My only issues so far was the windows key was invalid, but their customer service sent me a new key within a few hours after confirming everything.

I also purchased the UM790 Pro a year and a half ago through Amazon. I had to return the first unit but the replacement I purchased has been a real little gem so far. Yes, MinisForum do some "warehousing" out in the valley somewhere. Initially they were willing to send me a replacement under warrant

I had a Beelink for 2 or 3 years before it went completely Kaput. Out of warranty so little that I could do. I thought it should have lasted longer than that. Last July, I purchased a MINISFORUM Venus Series UM790 Pro Mini PC AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS DDR5 32GB 1TB PCIe4.0 SSD Personal Computer off Amazon.

Yes, I had a UM790 Pro that was crashing due to a motherboard issue. Shipped it to them, they shipped a new unit back. Can't remember exactly how long it took, but I don't recall thinking it was excessive. I would buy a Minisforum again, but next time I'd do it through Amazon so that I could have a
