ATL 5G R16 outdoor in Dubai extreme heat – passive cooling concerns

I haven't run them in those climates, as I'm in Northern Virginia, but I've put dozens in attics, and the attics here get over 140F often in the summer. I've had SXTs, LHGs, LHGGs, ATLs, all in attics and they don't flinch. The ATL 5G R16 is basically the same board as the earlier ATL, the only real

GL-MT6000 Flint 2 - Complete 4.8.3 vs 4.9.0 Baseline Comparison (Germany/DE) with Hard Data

English is not my first language, so please excuse any mistakes. On my Flint 2, I had been running firmware 4.8.3 with the DE region, and I was happy with both the stability and Wi-Fi coverage. My Wi-Fi setup: Separate SSIDs for 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz Transmit power set to "Medium" I live in a 64 m² apar

HAP ac2

MikroTik requires manual configuration for everything. Go to System -> Disk, you usually have to format it to a compatible file system and mount it first. You have to manually enable the file sharing service, go to IP -> SMB, check Enabled, and then set up a share and a user under that menu. While t

Which router I should use: hEX s or hAP ac 2?

I pound sh*t out a rb5009. And it does fine .. now I know a hex or a hap ac2 are not even the same. If I had a hEX device I could probably be ok . A MikroTik device with standalone AP is what is solid for me . I have some MikroTik devices with wireless and had some incompatible issues and throughput

I received my hAP be3 Media, any questions?

I used a hAP ac2 in my 52 m² apartment, and I barely had any signal in the kitchen. After switching to a TP-Link Archer C6, the Wi-Fi signal became much stronger throughout the apartment. I was thinking about going back to MikroTik, but I just don't like its Wi-Fi performance. From what I've seen, o

I finally went full Unifi - now coming back

Me three. (TMI follows, thanks to my neurospicyness.) Couple of years ago I built and maintained a full UniFi setup for a small(ish) office environment but obviously was a bit disappointed with all the hype I had heard, as I noticed the “shortcomings” of UniFi management coming from a very nerdish b

Hap Ac2 as wireless network extender?

Best answer is set up the hAP AC2 as an AP only and run a wire back to your ISP router. If you insist on doing it wirelessly. Is your AC2 running RouterOS v6 or v7? The video you linked only applies to v6. v6 is still supported (as of now). So for AC2, I’d recommend staying on v6. v6 will give more
