Which router I should use: hEX s or hAP ac 2?
I pound sh*t out a rb5009. And it does fine .. now I know a hex or a hap ac2 are not even the same. If I had a hEX device I could probably be ok . A MikroTik device with standalone AP is what is solid for me . I have some MikroTik devices with wireless and had some incompatible issues and throughput

Hap Ac2 as wireless network extender?
Best answer is set up the hAP AC2 as an AP only and run a wire back to your ISP router. If you insist on doing it wirelessly. Is your AC2 running RouterOS v6 or v7? The video you linked only applies to v6. v6 is still supported (as of now). So for AC2, I’d recommend staying on v6. v6 will give more
