DF54 vs Eureka Mignon, which to buy? Budget [<£350]
I had a DF54 for about 2 months. Every week it would completely clog (using rdt and hot starting, bellows pumping…) and I would have to disassemble it. Definitely not what I wanted to do in the mornings before I had any coffee. Although it’s an entry grinder, I want a $230 grinder to function consis

Small Quiet Espresso Grinder [€200-300]
Speaking as a former owner, steer clear of the Fellow Opus. It grinds well but has a significant retention problem requiring continuously cleaning up grounds, banging the machine and puffing the lid during grinding to get consistent dosing. The Opus isn't the quietest and a little slow. You can get

DF54 / Eureka Mignon Classic Manuale / ESP Encore [$350]
I had a DF54. It was amazing for about 6 months. Then it clogged non stop. MiiCoffee was not helpful at all. Basically blamed “user error”. I’d stay away from that.

About to give up
If the df54 clogs once by accident. (For me because the lid was still on my blind shaker, causing it to back up into the chute. The declumper flap will often bend. what’s wrong with my grinder jamming [Coffee Grinder DH54]
To add to the clean the chute advice, I had the same issue and did the same clean etc only to have it immediately clog again. My issue appeared to be the declumper which is two pieces of plastic at the head of the chute that had been deformed. I took them off, placed them under some weighted coaster

DF54 Grinder v3 - Clogging Issues (2 weeks of use)
No, I don't have v3 which is why I suspect they did something to the declumper. Even on mine, the ground doesn't collect that much near the needles but on top of the declumper. But it is dislodged very quickly with the bellows. 0.1g-0.2g retention A bit of researching specifically for DF54 declumper

Single dose grinder without 2nd mortgage? [$400 or less]
I strongly caution against a DF54. Mine was great until it wasnt. It clogged, I had to open to clean regularly and then the threads failed and the whole thing was trash. MiiCoffee wasn’t helpful at all. Machine only lasted a few months.

DF54 is terrible. Recommend me something better! [$500]
It looks like some df54s use a plastic piece that gets bent out of shape. I've taken mine apart a few times and bent the piece back to flat which solves the issue. The newer models have a metal piece which might be the solution. https://miicoffee.shop/blogs/gear-workshop/how-to-fix-the-clogging-issu

Be careful with MiiCoffee purchases
Seconding those who recommend avoiding MiiCoffee. I really regret my DF54 purchase. It clogs constantly, and no matter how many times I clean it, the adjustment dial still regularly fails to "set", leaving me with a whirring motor and no grinding when I turn it on. It's immensely frustrating. Should

What's causing all the grinds to get in here and how do I keep it from happening? [MiiCoffee DF54]
It looks like static has overwhelmed your "plasma" emitter. Declumpers can cause clumps. I don't how yours are normally attached but you can probable find out in a few minutes of searching. The MiiCoffee DF54 is supposed to have plasma static reducer (the wires in the chute) but if starts to clog it
