Best Budget Grinder [$200]
Maybe not preference, but from what I've gathered from my recent purchase is that you can get an S-tier manual grinder for the price of a C-tier or D-tier electric grinder And the cost of entry is much lower. The cheapest reliable electric grinder option seems to be a Baratza Encore ESP ($200 USD),

Espresso machine for a regular person [$800]
something that is going to last. With this in mind... Breville and Delonghi machines are not known for their longevity. Plastic chassis, plastic tubes, they're not really made for long term (10+ year) reliability. You mentioned the Delonghi La Specialista... All-in-one machines aren't recommended he

Bambino Plus found, now need grinder [$500]
I can't recommend something in the Eureka Mignon line enough. I have a Libra, but many below grind the same. Their product line is too complicated and it changes every year, I'm pretty sure to obfuscate and segment the market. So I made a break down of each Mignon here: https://www.reddit.com/user/d

Best coffee grinder under ~[$250]
FWIW we use the Baratza Encore ESP for double duty, both filter and espresso, and it handles it like a champ. No complaints. It's nice and compact and it looks stylish. There's a bit of retention, so use the hopper lid as a bellows to purge the burrs when you're done grinding. My personal belief is

DF54 vs Eureka Mignon, which to buy? Budget [<£350]
I had a DF54 for about 2 months. Every week it would completely clog (using rdt and hot starting, bellows pumping…) and I would have to disassemble it. Definitely not what I wanted to do in the mornings before I had any coffee. Although it’s an entry grinder, I want a $230 grinder to function consis

DF54 / Eureka Mignon Classic Manuale / ESP Encore [$350]
I had a DF54. It was amazing for about 6 months. Then it clogged non stop. MiiCoffee was not helpful at all. Basically blamed “user error”. I’d stay away from that.

WARNING: Do NOT buy from df64coffee.com — Refused warranty and literally DOXXED me.
I wholeheartedly agree with this recommendation. Here is my experience with them: I purchased a DF64v3 in early January. I paid for the SSP burrs. They processed the order as a DF54 which I did not want. When I emailed customer service they said “All sales final.” I went back and forth with them abo

Turin DF54 from Alibaba?
The DF54 is a white label product. Could be ‘Turin,’ ‘MiiCoffee’ or ‘DF Grinders’ they’re all the same product from the same factory. I doubt you’re getting a ‘knock off,’ it’s just probably unbranded or something other than ‘Turin.’ The bigger issues I see are after-sales support and power compatib

Small Quiet Espresso Grinder [€200-300]
Speaking as a former owner, steer clear of the Fellow Opus. It grinds well but has a significant retention problem requiring continuously cleaning up grounds, banging the machine and puffing the lid during grinding to get consistent dosing. The Opus isn't the quietest and a little slow. You can get

About to give up
If the df54 clogs once by accident. (For me because the lid was still on my blind shaker, causing it to back up into the chute. The declumper flap will often bend.
