So I think I’m done with snapdragon laptops, panther lake here I come
I have the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 which is Snapdragon of course and I don't have any issues, the laptop just works and the battery life is insane. The fact that the laptop stays cool to the touch at all times and doesn't even need a fan makes Intel seem like some old Legacy crap from the early 2

Macbook Neo or iPad Air M4?
An iPad can do this.An Mac neo can do this sooooo much easier. Unless you plan to write (or draw) on the iPad ... with a pen … the only thing the iPad is better at is media consumption and playing some of the games from the App Store.Everything else is with, a regular laptop (Mac or win), way easier

Need Advice from Framework Users
As an IT professional and owner of way to many computers, I'll thrown in my thoughts as a FW13 owner. The FW13 in the right configuration is a pretty fantastic machine. I'm running a 7840u with 32gb of ram and 2tb nvme and it's a fantastic all around device. I even once took it for a 4 day LAN event

Business Major: Laptop recommendation
A lot of softwares used are often made for Windows and Apple devices needed extra steps (or even was not compatible at all). I have used my personal Windows PC for the last 3 years and it's been perfect. I recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Laptop and absolutely love it, though I can't attest to

Newest iWork release shows a paradigm-shift in Apple and it's important to act on it.
I have a Microsoft Surface laptop now. It's not my daily driver, but I actually love it, and Windows 11 is actually very good. The ads and nags annoy me, but if I'm going to have to deal with those no matter what... why am I using the minority OS? Instantly lost me there. MacOS might be enshittifyin

What laptop do recommend and why?
Microsoft surface laptop if you want to stick with windows. If you know for a fact your classes require you to use software that is ONLY available for WindowsOS then it’s just easier to get a windows laptop. Otherwise you will have to run a Remote Desktop or something like that from a MacBook to get

What made you switch to Linux?
There is a local nonprofit in my town that takes old computers and puts the latest versions of operating systems and sells them for low-income people: Chromebook ($50), Linux ($100) and Windows ($150). I chose the Linux last year because I don't like Windows and Chromebooks are too limiting. Plus Li

Has anyone found a tablet that actually works well under stage lighting?
I use a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2. I've never had to run the screen at full brightness, even with direct sunlight on the screen. And the 14.4" screen is great for my ageing eyesight! Unfortunately, in its great wisdom, MS is not making them anymore. You could try the Surface Pro, though.

Should I buy a new laptop?
Well, since you’re not going into graphic arts engineering or other areas that have high power computing needs, I think a MacBook Air might suit your needs well or a nice thin light Windows laptop like a Microsoft surface laptop or one of the ThinkPad models from Lenovo. All great machines. I’m not
