Microsoft surface laptops and one Apple MacBook Air, sold as is. These Microsoft 15” laptops are really nice! I’m a convert now!

Not worth it. Even with your use-case. You are much better off getting an Apple Silicon machine and using Parallels/Crossover if you really want to run Windows on a Mac. IMO I don’t think that they should’ve called the laptops “Surface” at all. I feel like the Surface line should’ve been its own category (you know a 2 in 1 tablet/pc combo) and the laptop line should be called something else like the Microsoft book or something

I loved the stores. And yes… buying my first surface was like having magic on a tablet… I never bought another regular laptop for a decade…. It’s a shame we are where we are. The surfaces were the best product of Microsoft.

This SL 13 inch tear down shows the ssd being replaced. That’s in a different spot than the SL 7 13.8 inch ssd. Here is the Surface Laptop 7 video too. Note that the SL7 13.8 inch uses magnets for the bottom cover while the SL 13 inch uses clips to cut costs.
