The Nine Rings for Mortal Men

Thank you! As anyone in the hobby knows, "endgame" is a myth :) So yes, I'm still experimenting. Most of these were bought second-hand on r/AVexchange to get to know my own preferences as well as different companies' sound signatures. Reviews can be misleading, and everyone's ears are different. I'v

Just When I thought I was out...

If you find a great deal on Meze 109 pro that might be an amazing endgame for anyone. A touch bright at times but it will give you amazing detail, sexy vocals, and a wide soundstage. I got mine used for 500ish. Although that is steep I think at some point you will be able to find a great deal in the

New to DAPs, help me reach the full potential of my new FiiO M21

couple of things: i’m loving the meze 109 pro, it’s on the upper end of your budget but i recommend trying them out for sure to see how you feel about them. i haven’t applied any EQ and i like how they sound out of the box. i also have the PX8S2 but i use them purely for wireless audio when out on a

Are they as good as i'm reading them to be?

Every headphone I've ever tried. I've been fairly unimpressed.. the nicest ones I ever bought were meze 109 pro And had put hundreds of dollars into a DAC amp setup. Still didn't come close to my two channel set up and just didn't really get the hype. Ended up just selling all of it. The sound stage

Open back under 500 euros for Metal

I bought my MEZE 109 Pro and Arya Stealth Magnets on the used market. The prices are much more affordable. It required lots of research on various online selling sites, but absolutely worth it. I couldn’t have afforded either one at full retail prices. They both sound amazing. Best of luck, enjoy yo

The Nine Rings for Mortal Men

Tough call. What else have you tried and enjoyed, apart from the HD600? There are so many great options in the $800-1000 range (especially if you're open to second-hand purchases), that it's hard to say definitively that the 109 Pro is "the one". For that price you could get a ZMF Bokeh, an Audeze L

For anyone between nova elites and Maxwell 2s

Maybe just get the Meze 109 Pro and save something for the DAC/AMP later. It's pretty easy to power and only has 40 ohms, so you can easily run it on the PS5. I have the ZH 3 DAC/AMP, the headphones sound very good with it. It's worth it, locating opponents at BF 6 has never been so easy and rock mu

Searching for a complement for my Arya Stealth

Meze 105 AER would be my recommendation unless you need a closed back; I think of the Arya Stealth and 109 Pro as being almost perfectly complementary (fun and warm vs. clinical and detailed), and the 105 is like 90% of the performance of the 109 at half the price. Best Sennheiser headset for under $1000

For such a budget my suggestion would be Arya Stealth with a good DAC. I normally recommend K11, K13 R2R, K7 or DX5 II. 490 Pro while good felt like a poor choice for 400$. Even the Meze 105 AER was better. You can even do a Meze 109 Pro and a K11 (or R2R) in that budget which will be significantly
