How should I go about getting a fightstick
In my honest opinion, don’t build your first one if you’re on a budget. It usually ends up costing more once you add a case, PCB, buttons, lever, wiring, shipping, tools, etc. For PS5 + Tekken/SF6 I’d start with: Budget: Mayflash F500 + MagicBoots/Brook adapter if needed Better ready-to-go: Hori Fig

PS5 & Switch / Switch 2 Fight Stick
Buy the F300s and two MagicBoots-S5 (you'll need to update the F300 firmware) and you'll have full compatibility with Switch/Switch 2, PS4 and PS5. DualShock 4 and clone (unlicensed) DS4 controllers will not enable Legacy Support for Tekken 8/PS5 fighting games. Legacy Support is limited compatibili

May flash f700 elite compatibility
Because the F700 isn't truly PS5 native, it's PS5 mode on the dial is actually "Legacy Support" while the PS4 mode uses the same input as a DualShock 4 controller. Mayflash kinda hides this in its PS5 game compatibility list while Legacy Support is something Sony allowed developers to implement into

Baby's first fighting stick and fighting game Street Fighter 6 (game is hard)
The Mayflash F500 series is probably the best FightStick to get: Good size and weight for a traditional FightStick, no need to upgrade to a different arcade stick unless you want to go smaller like the micro leverless or low profile stuff. Universal USB port is great for PS4 and PS5 with a Mayflash

Wanting to purchase a fightstick
Being a PC player gives you a lot of flexibility but i will try to keep the options narrow. If you did want one that is natively compatible on ps5 for reasons o attending locals or whatever, the Qanba Titan is a great price on Amazon US right now (about $140 usd on sale). It is one of my main travel

MayFlash F500 Questions for a Beginner
Buy the F500 Elite ($105) and the MagicBoots-S5 ($30) from Amazon.com. The F500 itself is a more traditionally designed arcade stick being a good standard sized arcade stick with a tall body so lever clearance isn't a issue (Knee Neo, Infiltration and Golden Lever) and will be more stable on your la

Cheap Stick for PS5
You can't get one for $60 that will work on ps5 and not be a really bad experience. At minimum get him a mayflash f500 and the mayflash s5 magicboots dongle so it will work on ps5, or an f700 (more expensive but works on ps5 out of the box). You can also look at the qanba drone, that one has ps5 com

First Leverless for Canadian
Mayflash F500 Flat for $80 CAD At the very least if you have prime, you'll be paying $90.40 after applicable taxes. The F500 Flat is probably the most sturdiest leverless out there using the F500 as a base with tradition microswitch buttons. Stock buttons aren't bad but I would probably recommend up

Can I get some help picking out my first stick?
for leverless, if weight is important to you, F500 flat + ps5 adapter. If not, I would go for 8bitdo + adapter for lever, honestly you’re not getting everything that you need for that price. If you sacrifice ps5 compatibility, fightbox have several options with different K levers. I would chose the

Anyone have any recommendations for a noob/casual brand new to the fighting game community for an arcade type joystick on PC? I don’t need to modify or be able to change much. Something I can plug and play.
Buy second hand locally (Xbox 360 if you're purely PC, PS4 if you considering attending locals/weeklies/tourneys) form FB Marketplace, Offer Up or whatever local classifieds are popular in your area. If you don't want to do some research and just looking for something new with almost no hassle, then
