Velvet Teddy

Saammme! Mac's velvet teddy looks fully orange on my lips, but less so on my cheeks and nose - perfect as a blonzer for me.

MAC Velvet Teddy has always looked perfect when sheered out on my desaturated-yellow skin.

Oh goodness I’m sorry, “my lips but better!” For myself (pretty fair, blonde hair) I use Mac Cool Teddy! If you’re a smidge more tan or have warm undertones, Velvet Teddy is a beautiful every-day shade too! Editing to add I don’t really have many recs for deeper skin tones, but I’ve had great succes

Mac lipstick in Syrup. Not quite nude (depending on your skin tone) but kind of natural but better? It's not matte, but it's not super shiny or glossy. Just a really lovely mauve-based lipstick. I also highly rate Mac Velvet Teddy for this vibe.

I really like velvet teddy. However it can look more pink or more brown depending on your undertones. Velvet Teddy or Whirl from MAC is very close to this. If you go to a MAC store, they can tell you all the shade matches in their other formulas if a matte lipstick isn't what you're looking for

For fair to medium skin, I’ve had good luck with warm brown-nudes like caramel, mocha, or rosy-brown shades since they don’t wash you out. Maybelline “Touch of Spice” or MAC “Velvet Teddy” are solid starting points if you want something everyday and flattering.

For a night out mac whirl (leaning cool) or NARS explicit lipstick in "excess" (leaning warm)!!! it is a bit more expensive but 100% worth the money. Velvet Teddy or even Warm Teddy are great for something more casual, and Spicy or Plum? tbh it depends if you want to take the warm/cool route.
