I can't find anything I like enough to replace my dying Logitech K800
If I had to give a recommendation for a K800 substitute it would be the LOFREE Flow 2 100. I've tried pretty much every available low profile keyboard out there including all of Logitech's scissor switch keyboards. None of them were suitable replacements for the K800. Now the action isn't identical

any suggestions regarding what keyboard to use?
The best way to select a new keyboard is to go to local stores - Staples, Best Buy, or Microcenter if you have one - and actually try the keyboards they have on display. They're not usually connected to computers, so you'll have to just type blindly, but that will give you a feel for the size and sh

Please help me find a dead quiet wireless keyboard..
I had Logitech K740 (wired) and K800 (wireless) illuminated keyboards that I loved, but of course Logitech stopped making them. MX Keys is the replacement, but lacks the palm rest and IMO is overpriced for what it is. Cherry Stream is a full-size keyboard that uses the same quiet scissor keys as the

MX Keys S or Mechanical (linear)
I used a MX Keys S forever, and have some mechanical keyboards. It’s night and day, and I bought another mechanical to bring to the office, also I like linear like you. Mechanical is much nicer on the fingers. About the quality typing, sticking to membrane, look for a used K800 from Logitech. The be

K800
It for sure is, I'm into computers since mid 90s, CLI kid :-) started with DOS 3.2 and a monochrome yellow screen. I've spent A LOT of time hammering away on keyboards... I still prefer comand line over GUI, even now in W11 24H2 PowerShell. And with Debian its a given anyway. The K800, i haven't fou

Is the MX Keys S worth buying?
I just bought it. Straight out of the box, definitely not worth it. Too firm, wobbly keys, spacebar is a joke... Under heavy usage, this won't last a year. Not comfortable, not durable... The problem is that there aren't any real alternatives for this type of keyboard. As I've written in the other p

Is the MX Keys S worth buying?
Nah, the K800 is neat but the keys are much too wobbly with their metal spring feeling compared to both the UltraX Flat and the MX Keys more firm keys. I keep mine for a secondary PC but the MX keys has a more accurate feel and is faster to type on. It's not better than the MX and wasn't better than

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - October 02, 2025
Hey keyboard experts. I'm considering switching to the dark side of mechanical keyboards. For the past 6-7 years I've been using a Logitech K800, which I liked quite a lot. However, these are becoming harder and harder to find, even used, and the MX Keys, which is supposed to be its successor, is no

K800
I had one K800 of the first version, the one that came with installable batteries, in my opinion, a far better choice than those with a built in (doomed to fail) battery that would need a recharge... with cable, on a cordless keyboard... I should have seen the tragedy coming back then to be honest,

Just realized my backup keyboard I got in ~2014 is the same one Etho uses
My absolute favorite keyboard... the "r" key broke a little but was fine to be used if pressed down, would just be a little loose if I typed too much and too fast. It's the Logitech k800. They go for like $400 now on Amazon and are discontinued, and I'm so sad mine died. I spilled a bit of water on
