What keyboard would you keep forever if you had to choose one?

Logitech K800 Illuminated Keyboard. Je redoute le moment où le mien tombera en panne car il ne se fait plus, et aucun modèle ne remplit tous ses critères : membrane (cône silicone je pense), rétro-éclairé, sans fil, pavé numérique, batterie remplaçable (petite bidouille).

Just realized I am just the a clown

I disagree on the “going on as usual” after this. Around 10 years ago I had full Logitech gear (keyboard, mouse, travel mouse, speakers, gamepads, headphones etc) and in 2026 I only have the MX Master 3. For my company I also previously purchased only logitech peripherals and now I replaced with som

I can't find anything I like enough to replace my dying Logitech K800

If I had to give a recommendation for a K800 substitute it would be the LOFREE Flow 2 100. I've tried pretty much every available low profile keyboard out there including all of Logitech's scissor switch keyboards. None of them were suitable replacements for the K800. Now the action isn't identical

Should I buy the MX Mechanical now or wait for a refresh?

Wanna know the biggest irony? I could buy the K5 Max + ABS shine-thru. PBT opaque is a NO GO for me. I have only TWO basic requirements for ANY kayboard. N1: it needs to be wireless and N2: it needs to have backlit keys that are visible in the dark. I've been using wireless backlit keyboards since t

I can't find anything I like enough to replace my dying Logitech K800

I just purchased a Cherry Stream wireless, a user here mentioned this as the closest replacement to the K800 plus it's cheap. Logitech is under new ownership, and quality has gone down since. I've tried most of the new Logitech keyboards, they simply suck. The Cherry is the closest scissor switch ke

New Logitech Options + broke horizontal scrolling

Still broken on MX Anywhere 2s and 3s. Never used that crappy software, but since I had to get a new keyboard and the layout being pure a$$, I need the software now to unmap the "F13" volume up key that I keep pressing instead of F12, same as the lock key that I keep hitting instead of NP-. This is

K800

It for sure is, I'm into computers since mid 90s, CLI kid :-) started with DOS 3.2 and a monochrome yellow screen. I've spent A LOT of time hammering away on keyboards... I still prefer comand line over GUI, even now in W11 24H2 PowerShell. And with Debian its a given anyway. The K800, i haven't fou

Je suis vraiment tanné de l'obsolescence programmée

En plus, avec les sorties intempestives de nouveaux modèles et collections, on dirait que certains modèles qui sont accidentellement conçus bien faits et durables sont discontinués sans raison. (RIP Logitech K800)

Is the MX Keys S worth buying?

I just bought it. Straight out of the box, definitely not worth it. Too firm, wobbly keys, spacebar is a joke... Under heavy usage, this won't last a year. Not comfortable, not durable... The problem is that there aren't any real alternatives for this type of keyboard. As I've written in the other p

Is the MX Keys S worth buying?

Nah, the K800 is neat but the keys are much too wobbly with their metal spring feeling compared to both the UltraX Flat and the MX Keys more firm keys. I keep mine for a secondary PC but the MX keys has a more accurate feel and is faster to type on. It's not better than the MX and wasn't better than
